  • Haven't enjoyed a win that much for a while

So many players stood up, much sharper and better in so many areas, beat the Knights in Newcastle after they should have beaten the Broncos in Brisbane last week.

You could mention every player. A brave win where we needed to hold on and win, and did. They didn't even get that close, a couple of against the run of play tries including their last one.

Whyte was enormous and must be signed for 10 years. Anyone still want to get rid of Nat Butcher?

Just all round such a better performance, but let's hear from the Les Miserables and Ray Stehrs of the world, why it was still no good? I hope not.

If you didn't enjoy that, you are not a Roosters fan.

Good club win. Nat Butcher will be captain one day, can’t get rid of him.

yep, lot of spirit in that win.
but it's not about getting stuck into other roosters fans. they've just got a different way of expressing their support.

At least we have a half playing half and a 5/8 playing 5/8 and the golden boot fullback playing fullback

            Loved the look of Whyte.

I thought our goal line defence was my highlight beside Tupou return.

I thought the downside was our poor completion rate as normal but we improved that vastly in the 2nd half.

Tupou was my M.O.M, Nat was strong, Many was strong, Sandon Smith was solid.

I have to say, we defended our errors well.

Toups my MOM too. He took on the line and was like an extra forward which made lots of metres. Great to see him score again. Getting closer to that record! Didn’t he have a beard last week?

I get a little moist every time they have a win, but these results are not good for my heart.

Also just checked the stats and Naufahu Whyte 174m including 74 post contact metres. Absolute beast.

The most metres run by an NRL player in a match this year was 272m. NRL.com have Tupou at 296m and Manu at 317m for today.

Whyte was excellent, as aforementioned he is a great replacement for SST.

The worrying thing is that any other team would have probably beaten us by 30 points today.

Great post Nat Butcher was best on field future captain sounds good leads by example all heart exactly the type of player needed in a game like today’s.

So happy so much going against us we farken fought tooth and Nail, wasn’t pretty but who cares winners are grinners all we can do right now is win regardless of the how we just need to get the W’s and build, so much fight I haven’t seen that in a while.
