We need to sign blokes who will be around 5-10 years if we are going through a rebuild.
Its starting to look like the old days of dads army.
Yep. He ain’t no Morris or Cronk. They were some freaks who delivered more in their twilight years than Pearcey did in his prime.

With that said, I’m interested to see what he will bring.

i don't think pearce is meant to be a saviour. the thread's title is putting the wrong spin on this. if mitchell is signed it will be to play 14. he's not going to be signed to play in the halves (although if there are injuries he will be a better option that hutch)

Why? The guy was completely legless when playing for Catalans. He can't run anymore, he would offer no value.

The more I think about this the more it stinks of desperation.
His time is over in the NRL

Robbo touched on Pearce during his presser today said there is no truth to the rumours of his return (as a player) but did say he would be back at the Roosters in some capacity when his ESL stint was over, got the impression Robbo was referring to a non playing role for Pearce.

Apparently, Mike Hunt is on the lookout for a club.

If its to play 14 then a good option. Another kicker as well from dummy half.

He clearly stated that Pearce won't be back as a player.

I had the privilege of interviewing him a few times in a previous career. He told me a few things that came to fruition. I'm happy to trust him on this one.

Pearce can teach our halves how to kick more than 30metres.
