Whether it is Luke or the tactics from the coach, the attacking game in the NRL has evolved and we haven’t.
The problem imo is our execution. Most teams generally run the same high risk plays. The top 4 teams tend to execute better.

When he was first appointed did you recall saying he would win 3 premierships, 4 minor premierships and 3 world cup finals-all within 10 years? If you did then your a genius!

No, I never said that at all. I had no idea how he'd turn out. He definitely made me eat humble pie, but right now we're an embarrassment. If coach gets credit for all the success, then he also has to wear the blame for the mess they're in right now.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Rugby league is a business and uncle Nick being a very successful businessman, won't sit back and do nothing. Rest assured change is coming, Robbo will still be there but there will be an overhaul in the coaching structure.

                Very true

Said at the time we should give him the 1 jersey over Tedesco.

I don’t think he wanted to play for us though.

I think Cronk retiring is the real issue.

Losing an outside back regardless of how good they are doesn't effect the entire teams overall performance. Different story if Mitchell was our fullback in his current form.

Butchers offer no agro out wide. I’d be happy to let them go. I don’t want nice guys in my footy team. Plus I’d be happy to see Angus gone too. He’s well paid and offers little.

Their rise? They were making pre-lims before they got him and they have won nothing since he arrived. And when they made the GF he wasn’t playing.

But yes, we’ve been average since he left. Plus he was a very good goal kicker and we don’t have one these days.

All we need is a time machine...... Go back and keep Latrell, Verrills and SST, maybe look at Hunt. No Cheese, no Joey at five-eighth, and stock up on strong forwards rather than fringe-first grade outside backs.

If there was to be a clean out then the question beckons who would want to be coached by Professor Robinson?
Not only has the mad Professors experiments not worked nor has his business decisions. Too much latitude has been given to him.
It’s clearly obvious that the demise set in after not giving up and comers a go the following season of 2021 covid footy. In that time most of the coaching staff departed. He can’t seem to keep staff unless he recruits from his old boy network. I fear the longer he continues with the existing staff and players including the captaincy nothing will change whilst more up and comers depart due to lack of opportunity given by a righteous and arrogant coach, him telling fans not to boo Mitchell was weird. I get the loyalty factor a Politis legacy that Robbo has mirrored however it’s gone too far with the old boy network of players from 2013 along with a team of contracted veterans. The team basically reflects the days of a gone by era of the 70s and 80s and the past and present demographic of the eastern suburbs. He is not as smart as he thinks he is.

The roosters have been on the decline since 2019.
this may be the season we needed to have to trigger some change a late season run and limp into the finals would only gloss over a very very poor year.

A couple of roosters veterans may need a tap on the shoulder and some just need to be cut and show the door asap.
Haas and a strike centre would be a nice start on the shopping list.
