  • If you had to do a complete cleanout who would go?

    Forget loyalties and reputation.

This team is old and broken down.

    Chopping block candidates for me:

Robbo (it pains me to say it for the first time ever, though I do recall when he was first appointed I said it will only end in tears)
Corey Allen (so what if he has played SOO, brings nothing to the team)
Drew Hutchinson (plodder - will NEVER play rep footy)
    Manu (lazy)
Nathan Brown (too old, done nothing to write home about - why is he even here?)
JWH (too old and now a liability. he might inspire his team, but inspiring a team of nufties to not make fundamental mistakes should not be his problem)
    Egan Butcher (hopeless)
Nat Butcher (see above, though he's good for a tackle or 2)
Sandon Smith (a former 'rising star' and SG Ball Player of the Year...if he's so bloody good, where's the evidence?)
Gus Crichton (if I was playing as shit as him, I'd have mental health issues as well)
    Lodge (just go now please)
Radley (a brainless idiot who never seems to play consecutive matches, let alone an entire match)

Players I'd keep and formulate a comp winning team around:

Tedesco (even playing at 70% his normal standard, he's superior to just about everyone else - get him a decent team and he won't feel like he has to do everything himself)
Keary (he'd be dynamic with the right team around him)
Walker (lose him and we're in the wilderness for 5 years)
    Tupou (1 more year only)
Sitili (needs a better team around him)
Collins (our only bright light in the forwards)
    Turpin (jury is somewhat out)
    Cheese (as above)
Pauga (has looked ok in recent weeks)
Paulo (has been better than 80% of the team this year)
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

I thought you were talking about the chookpen.

    As you were.

Well I think if that was my question, the answer would be obvious

By definition a complete clean out would be everyone.

        It's a redundant question.

So when you clean out your sock drawer, does every sock get the bullet?

It's not a redundant question at all. I'm sure many people have thought about it in recent months.

The team is a laughing stock. They're last or close to last on just about all of the critical stats. Any team can beat them at the moment. No-one fears them.

So who do you replace them with?

Iceland's national handball reserve grade team maybe?

Nice. Perhaps Salvo has the stats on their strengths and weaknesses.

I’m sure it can google it for anyone even remotely interested.

Manu had a huge WC campaign, a disrupted offseason and usually starts slow combined with playing out of position.

Safe as houses. (In the centres)

The beginning of the end was losing Mitchell. Our decline and South's rise coincided with Mitchell changing clubs.

Depends is it a complete sock drawer clean out or not?

Starts slow? It’s halfway through the season mate.
