  • Fa'asuamaleaui not charged by MRC despite breaking Korisao jaw

Great player, but he lunged at him with his ball carrying arm and broke the guy's jaw.

    MRC are a joke.

The media all said "no problem" and the MRC abides.

Sualii gets 3 weeks though as he plays for the evil roosters empire and the media all called for his head.

If it was his first time I get it, but like suaalii, he has history with the same technique.

no point getting upset with league anymore, because it’s not a sport, it’s entertainment now.

I saw it as an accident. No malice from Tino.
A smurf trying to take on a giant upright. What could go wrong? Api should have gone low.
Freddie and a few others tried to influence the MRC but it was the right call imo.

I don't have an issue with it, really unfortunate for Korisau but you'll see that same ball carrying motion from plenty of players this weekend. JWH will have half a dozen carries with an almost identical motion as he hits the line.

It's the lack of consistency that aggravates me.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Rugby League is a violent game. People get hurt.

Only penalise deliberate acts that are against the rules. Throw the "reckless and careless" definitions out the window for good.

Stop trying to sanitise a product that needs a little grime baked in.

I thought it was ok. Not too dissimilar from when JWH ko’ed Danny Buderus in the semi final v Newcastle in 2013.

                      Go to 0.15.

So if that's Radley or one of our other players you reckon the MRC would be fine?

An impact/collision injury which can happen when tackling upright ( catch and hold) - be different if Tino extended his forearm i.e like John Harvey or what JHW sometimes does (using his forearm as a bumper bar)

BTW I call BS on those defending Tino, saying "there was little else he could do". I'd have no problem if the arm had stayed holding the ball against his chest. It doesn't. He clearly lifts it away from his chest towards Korisao. Fittler is right on this one. NRL harp on about "duty of care", but when it's SOO time, and it's a likeable Queensland player, that all goes out the window and we go back to 1970s rules.
