There is nothing wrong with the roosters squad. It's the positions that some of them are being picked to play in and also the team selections. i have no idea of the coach's game plan that he calls the roosters way and i don't think anybody else has a clue either. a positive step was Sandon smith, and pagua getting a run today with young joe going back to the wing where he scored his first try for weeks, Tupou comes back next week in another positive for the team so Allen can now piss off back to reserve grade with his mate Hutch and hopefully i will never have to see either of them in a roosters a grade backline ever again

He is arguably the best centre in the game yet he is put in a position where his game looks like it’s going backwards..
Surely the Coaching staff can bite the bullet before it’s too late and admit they got this one wrong!
Put him back where he belongs and maybe our attack might start clicking again Ffs!

I thought Sitili was excellent in the 13 jumper and I'd play him there for the next few weeks and see how he goes. Nat is good on the edge, just solid and makes his tackles. I'd be putting Angus back on an edge, need his attacking runs. Turpin was really good at 9 for the most part and Sandon looks like he can actually contribute at 14 as utility unlike Hutch, who is solely a half. Pauga for a club debut did OK. Ran hard.
Given the next few weeks we will likely have our outs due to suspension, etc., I'd run with this side.
1. Ted
2. Toops
3. Smith
4. Manu (PLEASE!)
5. Pauga
6. Keary
7. Walker
8. JWH
9. Turps
10. Collins
11. Angus
12. N. Butch
13. Sitili
14. S. Smith
15. E. Butch
16. Whyte/Baker
17. Lodge
We should have the forward depth to cover Collins, and if Teddy is out with Origin, I'd put Manu there and bring in J. Paulo.

JS is still a good player and should be on the wing

I just don’t see any positives, does anybody else?
Manu has the potential to be a good 5/8, but he currently isn't a good 5/8.
A 5/8 that rarely passes and doesn't have a well rounded kicking game is simply not a 5/8.
Until (or unless) he develops these facets to his game, it's either centre or fullback for Joey M.
