  • Connor Watson Future

Conor Watson speaking on ABC Grandstand has said he’s uncertain about his future at the Roosters next year. Conversations with Robbo have said they need to get JWH and Toops signed and then see how much is left under the sombrero!!

I know Hutch has been a good stop gap for us over the years but surely you wouldn’t have Hutch over Watson if you had the choice.

Not sure when he’s back but hopefully in enough time to prove he deserves a chance.

Its a good point you have brought up.
Im not that fussed on Watson, I dont feel he has produced.
I know he has had a few injuries but overall I think he has been average.
Good bloke & all but not anything to excited get about. Only my opinion but I wouldnt be disappointed if the Chooks moved him on.

He's lively...but small, although is tough.
      Depends how much he wants.

      Hutch rarely gets injured.
      Rarely gets suspended, always available.
      Doesn't cost a fortune.

Haas, always seems to be injured or suspended...now there's been some incident at Origin training or something.
Paying big money for him seems risky.
We need to buy players who can play every week....are smart, and have an x factor.

Lets not mention Hutch and Watson in the same breath.
Yes he has had injuries but Watson is a quality first grader, Hutchison is not. With a healthy squad Watson is our 14, Hutch is our 14 in reserves
In saying that, due to injuries to himself and others it is correct we haven't got the best out of him. When we went on that streak at the end of last year before we shat ourselves, Watsons leg speed in the middle was dynamic!!

I love Connor Watson off the bench ,always has that go forward energy around the ruck,he's a keeper ,maybe huch has to go ,then we can stop worrying if he's in the starting line up every week

More evidence that Robbo has lost the plot.

I won't be fussed if he goes, however we need a good utility, which he is. If I had the choice between Hutch and Watson, I'd prefer to keep Watson.... no offence to any of the Hutch fan boys on here

I think Robbo has ear-marked the ageing M Pearce for next year. God help us!

He had a good injury free run with Newcastle but he doesn’t seem to play many games with us. I like him but wouldn’t be fussed if he left.

I think Manu is a free agent in November. That’s more of a concern than Watson.

                      Keep them both?
                      Hutch and Watson
The way our players get suspended and injured we'll need them both.

Connor Watson would be lucky to get similar coin to the 300k he is reportedly on in any contract extension offer.

                        Minimum wage is 120 k

What would some on here post about though if the Mercurial Hutchinator was to leave as he lives in their heads 24/7 rent free.

That space/void would be hard to fill one would say - it's quite cavernous as it is

Just in case they are getting itchy fingers and are missing the Mercurial Hutchinator playing - here he is with some wise words

Watson's hardly set the world on firm since he came here

As someone here said earlier, think he played well last season, especially in the Gosford game.

Momo played right wing that day?
                            Where is Momo?

Paul Momirovski had shoulder reconstruction surgery after injuring his shoulder in round 9 vs Warriors - According to the NRL Casualty Ward he is not due back until round 22.

Connor Watson is listed as returning in round 20 and Brandon Smith in round 19
