Much better system ..... have always said, you should know before kick off if a semi is a knockout or not, rather than playing your game then waiting around all weekend to see if you are eliminated !

Does anyone here actually know what the term "to quash" means?
I suggest you should have gone with "Abandons", the slightly clunky "has done away with" or even "has torn up the McIntyre finals system" but not quashed. It means something else.
Reject as invalid, esp. by legal procedure: "his conviction was quashed on appeal".
I know the second meaning is "to do away with" but that's in a non-verbal sense.
For example.
The Prime Minister wishes to quash any speculation of a leadership challenge.
I mean next you'll be splitting infinitives.

I will not consider the Independent Commission as "indepedent" until all those previously affiliated with News Corp have been removed from the decision making process.Last edited by dice; 02-23-2012, 09:50 AM.
