and could you really wear that mistake that costs the Roosters the game when a look at the video would have meant a Roosters win?
We are being forced to wear the mistakes they make with the video and they are rubbing it in when 20,000 people can see the result on the big c=screen but the call is wrong.

No replay. No video. Make the call. Move on. it would mean these carnts would have to become referees again, instead of just whistle blowers.

That's all they need. Another reason to say "oops we made a mistake".
i dont know if he would've awarded Anasta's try. Did they call back Morris? Why not? They had video footage right then and there? i could see it in real time with my eyes and I was 50 meters away in Bay 141. Why was it play on? Why did they score in the next tackle?

Yeap, it's why the use of the video referee in NRL so flawed.

You either use it NFL style (where they can go for it for every single play) and slow the game down dramatically or don't use it for anything except the scoring of a try. We however (like most things in our poorly run code) are half preggers and use it for some things (high shots - seriously the referees on field should be dealing with these) yet not for obvious sideline infringements.

        It's a joke.

          That's what I mean mate.

If you take away the video ref then whatever bad call they make, they can always say they had to make it on the spur of the moment. Atleast with the video ref there are certain 100% calls that they can't stuff up. eg. a fair put down that a ref can easily call knock-on or one that is a 100% knock-on they can call a fair try. Why would you even bother going to a Dragons game if Archer was refereeing without a video ref unless of course Billy is the man in the box?

I'd rather have three guys up in the box and go for the 2-1 vote.

We need to find a way to slash through the red tape.

We need decisions to be clear cut.

We must ensure players are trying their best, always. The fans pay big money to see big plays.

The fans deserve it. The fans demand it.

There is only one rule. Succeed.

              In addition to my Golden Try rule;

              - At the end of normal time, both sides get 1 competition point

              - The scorer of the Golden Try gets the extra competition point.

Ridiculous idea This can be manipulated especially late in the season

Can't agree with that one. Each game should be worth two points.

I say have 80 minutes to break the deadlock otherwise 1 point each.

Can't agree with this at all.

I like the golden point rule in the finals. Play to the death. I think 10 minutes is a bit too short but the players may disagree considering the physical effort required.

I like this one, except I'd have four points up for grabs in each game - so an 80-minute win earns you four points. For a draw, each side gets one point and then you contest two points in extra time.

Imagine this situation: Brisbane win 12 games and lose 12 games, all in regular time. Wests win 12 games, draw three games (and lose all of them by a field goal in extra time) and lose nine games.

Clearly, Wests results have been better than Brisbane's. They would deserve to finish above them. This is not guaranteed under the current points system, but would be under Rhys'.

Your way avoids manipulating the table and has merit

im gonna go against the flow of other comments here and agree with you. It's not fair for sides that play 80 minutes to a draw, and attain no points.

Not really a rule change but I'd like to see a press conference with the two refs and video ref after the game, similar to both coaches and captains.

Atleast get the coaches to meet up with officials the following day to go over why some calls were made and similar infringements were ignored. Having a phone link with Finch is always pointless.

I know it won't hapen because they are a protected species.

Communication between multiple parties will make things a lot easier and ease the pressure on everyone. At least then fans will understand what happened and why, rather than hearsay and rumours. Transparency is everything in this case.
