Alls fair in love and hindsite I ask???

I know we dont have the best centres in the comp but they were there last season when we made the top 4. To say we should sack 2 blokes with 1st grade expierence, still under contract, and who assisted us getting to a decent position last season for a virgin who by all reports wasnt even that good in the U 20s last year, in a side that was basically shit, is stupid mate.

    I know youre not stupid.

You do realise wed still be paying Maubs and or Soli if we released them??? So what would be the point??? And Winterstain by all reports wanted to head back to QLD and he doesnt qualify for the U 20s anymore.

Good on him for the effort hes put in and for grabbing his opportunity. Shame we let him get away, but I dont recall ONE fan mentioning him till now. I will apologise if someone can show me proof they pegged Winterstain to be where hes ended up now. I just dont recall his name ever being mentioned.

We played OK methinks. Hung in there, battled a good side getting all the calls as usual and we didnt give up. I reckon up against their outside backs, without Soli or Maubs for 1/2 the game we did quite well.

The attitude was quite good from what I saw. We arent as bad a side as some may hope we are, methinks.

    GO EASTS.

I know mate....I just love footy teams that have centres who can make things happen like centres should. Good footwork, pace etc....ahhh the memories of Renouf and co!

Unfortunetly the salary cap isnt 6million dollars and we cant have stars in every position

As stsae said Soli and Maubs were our cetres when we came 4th and all of a sudden they're the worst centres in the comp

Maubs is a centre now hes played there since his second game of first grade, he may have played lock in jersey flegg, but he is a centre now and IMHO one of the safest centres going around

We're you complaining about Maubs when he set up 2 tries and scored one himself against the tigers??

Sure buddy I agree, not a better sight than to see centres that can carve like Renouf could.

Strange thing is on the few occasions (usually when weve been losing this season) we go wide we actually look pretty good. We seem to make ground when we actually use our backs, even scored a few long range tries.

Its the inside ball shit that kills me. Now some will blame Pearce and he does it waaaaay too much but Bwaiff does it as often. Fitzy is the option usually, its soooooo bloody obvious even after 50 beers I can read it.

There is no way in my mind that its not coached into our 1/2s. We do it repeatedly. And it gives the perception all our backs are just slugs, which simply isnt the case. Even Maubs can go when he gets in a bit of space.

Maybe its a case of keeping it simple early in the season and we will restructure and use our backs later in the season???? I bloody hope so at least. Either way its a negative and boring tactic that shits me weekly. It only makes out 1/2s look unimaginative and our backs look like statues.

Freddy said in this weeks press conference we didnt test the wankos enough, especially early. banning the inside ball for starters would help. IMO its a tactic to use on lazy tired defence later in games, catch the player that doesnt move in the line. To do it early in games is stupid IMO.

We could have the best centres in the world out there and all theyd catch at the moment is a bloody cold.

        The FlogPen .

        You know it makes sense.

He can play fullback, centre and wing... he played for Souths Logan on the wing and made the Metropolitan West rep side on the wing.

Anyway that's beyond my point, my point is what do Maubs and Soliola who would be on relativity low contracts compared to the rest of our squad have to do with non re-signing Winterstein... should we have payed overs for a player who proved nothing in 2008 and didn't want to stay in Sydney?

Did the call come from the video ref ? If so he should be sacked even after one quick look on Saturday night you could see he had no case to answer

I would say a crap first half performance and terrible right side defence was more to blame for the loss. The cheating diving parker incident only compounded things.
