Carney was forced to play fullback because of the petulant Greek.
    Benji should be very worried.

Maybe you should start trolling the tigers forum now then and get it over and done with.

        He's head of recruitment.

I think it will go down as one of the worst decisions in the history of Rugby League.

Someone needs to be called to account.

Here's an interesting conundrum - Carney played for the roosters last year. Where did we finish on the ladder?

Don't forget we won every game once he pissed off.

So exactly how do some of you think we would be grand finals contenders this year with him?

Carney was playing injured last year to start Groin injury Self inflicted apparently from a fall tring to get into his unit after forgetting his keys The club forced him back early Due to his injury he was underdone and as well as injured he was unfit 2010 HE WAS FIT SEE WHAT HE DID FOR US

This year he is fit look what he is doing I have watched our team every week this year and the only difference I see from this side to the side of 2 years agO is the NO6 Carney is a game breaker can turn a game on its head and win you matches on his own We are missing that this year. In 2010 There are many games we would have lost in the same manner to some of the games we have lost this year

i DONT EXPECT YOU TO AGREE i AM SURE YOU WILL HAVE SOME COMEBACK I dont care as all I am doing is answering your question

I loved watching Carntey, still do, he's got the juice.

But in 2010 we were in the exact same position then as we are now, win/loss sorta stuff. It was after origin we went on a streak and hit the 8 with momentum. Not saying it will happen again, probably not, but we won't know till later in the year.

Also last season he was mentally unfit. When he felt the need physically he was freakish, but it wasn't all the time, it was when he felt motivated. His body language and attitude in defence at times was disgusting. The amount of games he lost is cos of being mentally weak were too many to count. His attitude alone lost me and a lot of supporters.

As for if we did the right thing in letting him leave only time will tell.

I would like to see what Baloney brings before I bag those at the club who were trying to do the right thing by everyone, the other players, the fans, the coaches, the sponsors, the suits etc. One man does not need to control a whole club the way he did. Sometimes it's just best to cut your losses and move on, which we did.

It would be interesting to see if he was still here and playing like a gimp what many would've said about the decision we made late last season. I could imagine everyone whinging cos we kept the alco etc.

Carney is vital for the Sharks but they can play without him. Robson had a shocker against the doggies and Graham was quiet but they'll step up - particularly Graham hes a natural 5/8 i think.

We hit momentum when we replaced the overrated hack at 5/8th with Carney.

And when Friendly returned from his work experience at Jmans Cafe, a point missed by those hammering our hooker at the moment.

True. I was a huge Friend fan before noticing how much quicker Ant Mitchell was getting the ball to first receiver.

IMO Mitchell wouldnt be able to handle the defensive workload Friendly does.

That said I could see an argument for using Mitchell as a bench hooker more often. I also like his service from dummy 1/2 and have been critical at times this season of Friendly.

I am giving the kid a break though. He looked much better in 2010 and 2011 it's been this season his forms dropped. I would like to see how he rolls next season with an option in attack, a 5/8 who can actually ball play and supports up the middle. Friendly, Pearce and Carntey had a good little combo going that hopefully re-ignights with Baloneys arrival. Very good support player we have coming next season.

Friendly isn't a Smiff type hooker. He's more like Bonetti. Put some attack around him and I believe he can play a very important role for a team.

Been thinking a bit about Jake of late (shite, I'm a poet) and you might be onto something here.
He played his best with creative players around him in the halves. Once Braith got the 6 back his form started to drop & has been ever since.
Can we wait until we get Maloney?????
