Creagh's selection is still pissing me off

someone posted stats somewhere comparing creagh and watmough's 2011 series

Creagh averaged something like 47metres a game with 0 tackle breaks in 3 games
Watmough averaged 140metres with about 12 tackle breaks in 2 games

Watmough hasn't been picked because he won't train this week... personally I say lop Choc's injured arm off at the shoulder and let him play, it would still be better than that cat imposter.

Gallen is injured as well though. But yet was picked?

I think the inclusion of Jennings is totally disgraceful to be honest. Ricky spoke about how "I don't pick the players. The players pick themselves." Jennings, not been in good form, gets dropped to NSW cup from a team thats under-performing already and doesn't even follow the instructions of his Coach. It's horrible to others Centre's who have been in better form and who are not playing in NSW cup. Stuart just made a fool of himself in my eyes.

I don't think Creagh or Hayne should be there either. Unbelievable that Tariq Sims didn't make it. Methinks we'll be looking towards Carney and Tony Williams to win it for us this year.

Jennings could well play out of his skin mind you, but still, I think the principle of it is poor. A complete contradiction to what he's said before as well.

ehhh i wouldn't listen to any of that crap that Jennings is in disgraceful form and deserved to be dropped. I'd say he was dropped more due to his indiscretions with the penrith club setting an example. After all, is his form really that bad? If Jennings was dropped due to poor form there'd probably be another 6 players in the side that should've been dropped as well

Why do you think Hayne shouldn't be there? Is it because he plays for the eels and thus looks shit with a bad crop of players around him? Stats suggest that Hayne is in fact much more in form than Stewart - true story

Aside from that, Hayne is a proven performer at Origin level. Having won about nsw player of the series about 2-3 times *ON THE WING*. It'd be a disgrace if Hayne was left out, one of NSW's most talented players.. dont u think?

It's not his talent that I have an issue with. It's the effort that he puts in and his positional play. He's a pretty poor defender in the way of reading plays and he can go totally missing.

As for Jennings, c'mon, he hasn't really been in great form for a long time anyway. Sad that Lyon and or Cooper wouldn't play. So short of Centre's these days. Still, even though Lawrence's form has been poor as well, I think he'd lift just as much as Jennings, probably more.

Again, talent isn't the issue. Regardless, no use arguing now. To me the side really doesn't look as good as it could have. Some people were always going to have problems with it as well.

              At least Idris wasn't picked...

How this ponce keeps getting picked is mind blowing.

Lol Did Mal pick this side?

I am going to go against the grain here I like the pace in NSW backline it has blistering speed With Hayne Uate and Stewart at the back QLD will need a goood kick and chase If NSW get the ball and make a good kick return gettiing QLD on the back foot our mobile forwards and speedy backline could cause havoc

Finally I think everyone is massively downplaying or have completely overlooked the absence of Lockyer from the QLD side

form is temporary. class is permanent, as the saying goes.

Jennings form at the moment probably has a lot to do with the quality ball that is being given to him. How can a back play well when he's been given shit all to do with? If he's given a shot at origin, u can guarantee he's going to be fed quality ball from Carney

as for Hayne's supposed "piss poor attitude". Ask yourself, have you ever seen him let anyone down in Origin?

If the answer is no, then Origin beckons once again. His skill has been there for everyone to see. If your main beef with him is his attitude, and he's sure to fire for Origin as they all do - pick him. If it's poor positional play - pick him. Why? He's playing on the wing ffs.. not fullback. I see no issue with his positional play if he's defending on the wing

I agree. It is one of the quickest and most potent NSW backlines i've seen in recent years. That backline just screams "speed". Stewart, Hayne, Jennings, J.Morris, Uate. It really doesn't get much faster than that

I'm not all that convinced with Josh Morris, but he'll do

Happy with the backs not so happy with the forwards.
                      Craegh????? Buhrer???? Merrin???
Where's Watmough and Simms? And don't give me the Watmough is injured line. Gallen is supposed to be injured too. I bet Watmough will end up playing us next Sunday.

I don't know who I hate more? Queensland or Ricky Stuart...

Probably Ricky Stuart, so Come On Queensland...

I am hoping for a 3-0 whitewash so Stuart will disappear and we will never hear from him again....

I have this awful fear that if he wins the Origin series he may well be...

Have the same feeling. Hope I am wrong.

Yes, of course he has had poor games in Origin. He has also had blinders. You pick the best players and at the moment, Hayne's form doesn't warrant selection. I've got nothing against Hayne but he can certainly go off. Look, I'll probably be proven wrong and he'll have a great series but I see other Wingers/Centres at the moment who are playing better, more consistent footy then Hayne or Jennings.

As for positional play, if you think it's totally unimportant just because he's playing on the Wing, well, there's not much to say in response to that.

I hope he does prove me wrong and both him and Jennings have great series since neither of them would be too happy with how things are going at their club, I would assume.
