It's ok MR. I have plenty of friends and family to chat to away from here so there is no need for me to be here anymore.

          • You lot love to derail threads with useless comments.
No wonder very little people have been vaccinated.

            • For the people who choose not to be vaccinated, would you prefer to get the virus now or do your best to avoid it for as long as possible?

The decision for me not to be vaccinated has been made by my medical professionals.

Nothing What happened was old mate 08 was saying he would be leaving this site on the two threads we have all been at one another on today I responded telling them to harden up Then I came on here and saw the same comment and didnt see mine. Not realising they had the hissy fit on both threads I could not see my comment here and thought it had been deleted

My aim is not to get it at all. Although in saying that I am pretty sure both my Daughter and I copped it in early March last year. Went to Dr unable to get tested as that was not ready to go Was told to isolate for the 14 day which we did. Had many of the symptons and I was laid out hard for a few days.

                            Thanks for the reply.

Get tested for antibodies, then you’ll know rather than just speculating your illness was COVID. How would you have got it?

How will you avoid it? Can you avoid getting a cold or the flu?

I would have got it through a long afternoon drinking session with an Irish fella at the pub who had just arrived a day earlier in late February. In a way getting sick like I did changed the way I ,live as that day I went on a bender I was then taking a month off booze Got sick and didnt drink for 5 months and Now I rarely get drunk.

There is no guarantee one can avoid illness. However a good diet not drinking in excess and not smoking, maintaining physical fitness, along with taking the right vitamins gives you the best chance. I also work from home which helps. Apart from last year the last time I was fully ill was 2011 and 12 with bronchitis then the following year I decided to have a flu shot and was hit with the flu not long after

i was on chemo for a year so have an idea of your situation. not good but i'm sure you'll make the best of it.

no one here has a problem with you not taking the vaccine - following medical advice is what those of us who are getting vaccinated are doing
