I enjoyed those too...but if you combine conditioning with hypnosis like he did in some episodes you can get some people to do almost anything...so I'm not sure they were experiments as such.

I agree with your point, maybe Experiments was chosen as the name of the show. The show with the audience in masks picking a good or bad outcome for the guy in the bar was great.

He decided to fake his position and sail round in circles for months until the rest of the fleet were almost back home and then join them and cruise to the finish line a hero. That was the plan anyway. Best doco I've seen.

Hey mate, sorry for the slow reply. Just got back from holidays. Hunter's books can be a bit of a drag IMO depending on your personal interests. I thought his first published book "Hells Angels - The Strange and Terrible Saga of the Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs" was great. Of course there is always "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" which is probably his most well known book. "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail" was okay but for me once he really gets into the political stuff I lose interest a little. Mind you the political stuff was his bread and butter. Some years ago I read the first volume of his autobiography/letters which was called "Tales of a Southern Gentleman". It was awesome. Anyway, happy reading!!
