how about accepting the plane from qatar?! if they're going to accept it it should stay at the disposal of the u.s. president after trump's gone but the big problem is what is qatar getting in return? if there's no such thing as a free lunch you can bet your bottom dollar that there is no such things as a free $400m plane

He may have put his hand on the bible and swore that he would uphold the constitution but he has already shown and said that it doesn't mean shit to him

The 22nd Amendment (ratified in 1951) limits presidents to two elected terms:
“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice…”
So he'd need to change the constitution, which would involve approval by:
- 2/3 in both houses
- 3/4 of all states
He's need a super majority. Given how controversial it would be (and how unpopular he's becoming now that people are waking up), the concept is already dead.

The Dow Jones hit a all time high under Joe Biden of 45,000 on Dec 4th last year and if it was rising at the same rate would be around 46,500-47,000 by now. Instead TACO started the trade wars and its presently at 42,270....equates to about 15 trillion lost. Yet when he addresses the media he says the country was going broke under Biden and "look at it now, its thriving and we are in a golden era".....and his dumbarse supporters cheer even while their super gets smashed.
My favourite how he is dismantling DEI (notice they never say "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion") in government departments and implementing "merit based" policy.....all when he has appointed half of Fox News anchors and a host of other pelicans to the most senior positions in government.
All fun to watch if you dont live there

The US has told Australia to lift its game with defence spending and capability. President Trump has made it clear he expects other countries to do their share to get the caring arm around the shoulder treatment in return. This peanut Albosleazy seems to be playing dumb domestic politics and giving the same bland responses as though he's still trying to win an election. He seems more concerned with not upsetting the CCP than currying good favour with our number one ally. God knows we are gonna need them at some stage in the not too distant future.
I think he's slated for a f2f audience with the great man soon. He better get his priorities clear and not fk this up like he/his party did with tariffs by taking schoolkid potshots at the world's most powerful man and ally of Australia.
I said my main fears for Australia were social cohesion/Immigration and energy policy under a hard Labour Govt. Still applies, but defence has got to be a close third. Will they completely eff things up again?

as far as defence goes, how reliable is the u.s.? thankfully trump won't be president in four years time and maybe someone more sensible will take over, so it's good to play the waiting game - maybe make some concessions to the u.s., keep our options open.

Oh dear, look out—TACO Grandpa is doing the Sleepy Joe signature Air Force One Stair Shuffle. Bonus points this round for the majestic neck fat avalanche making a cameo. And let’s not forget the orange bronzer mask clinging on for dear life—because nothing says ‘leader of the free world’ like a collapsing incontinent geriatric in clown makeup

Clearly, things in America have never been better under President Trump. The economy’s exploding (in a good way, obviously), Wall Street’s basically a rocket ship, all of America’s allies are lining up to shower him with love and admiration, and grocery prices have miraculously plummeted by 90% — it's practically a dollar store utopia.
Plastic straws are back in every cup like it’s a national renaissance, showers now blast water like firehoses because saving the planet is so 2020, and of course, all the dangerous undesirables are being heroically deported — no nuance necessary.
And let’s not forget the commander-in-cheek himself: the young, dashing, perfectly healthy, and indisputably stable genius, Donald J. Trump. A real soldier at heart, tragically held back from Vietnam glory only by a case of legendary, debilitating bone spurs, courtesy of a very patriotic family physician who definitely wasn’t on his dad’s payroll.
America, folks — she’s back, bigly !!
