  • SG BALL Round 1 - Central Coast Roosters vs Balmain Tigers

Unfortunately not a great start to the season for the Central Coast Roosters SG Ball side -They need to persevere with it though and not lose sight of the value of the junior rep pathway program on the Central Coast for both Men and Women players going forward.

A lot of talk heading into this season that the Central Coast SG Ball side would struggle as they had a lot of their best players picked up by the Roosters and a couple of other NRL systems.

I wonder what the long term thinking around this is, think it's great to have two pathways teams but only if there is an appetite for it from elite players on the Central Coast. By 18-19 most of these kids want to be aligned to NRL systems.

Also worth noting that the admission of the Central Coast side was announced quite late last year so I think they've done their best this year to put together the best squad possible, might be better off next year...
