There is some seriously exciting talent in that side, wouldn't surprise me if 3 or 4 players from that forward pack went on to play NRL. Almost feels unfair that Seve, Smith and Finegan will be going around again this year, I expect those 3 in particular to dominate.

Rex Bassingthwaighte won't be considered for selection whilst completing the NRL pre-season with the first grade squad but expected to come back into the side around Round 6. Ekipati is no joke though, the few games I saw of him last year for Central Coast he's very elusive and won't let anyone down.

Lui Lee also not available for selection as he is going up to Brisbane to take part in the U19s emerging origin camp for Qld.

Yeh correct, quite highly rated too. Did pre-season with First Grade and plenty thought he was robbed of a Aus schoolboys jersey.

He's on a train and trial deal this year so could feature after Round 11 but more likely he will play in NSW Cup after finishing up the SG ball season.

R6, I read the other day that the Storm have signed a young Roosters halfback, do you know who that was?

Yeh Josh Durkin who mainly played 5/8 in Jersey Flegg last year.

Can't say I was overly impressed by him but he was one of the better players in a pretty average side last year.

Toby Rodwell, Jake Elliott, Hugo Savala and Reece Foley all deservedly ahead of him in the pecking order for NSW Cup IMO but the Storm sure do know how to make a halfback...

Very strong side this year again,

I see young Charlie Webb is playing half in the Harold Matts again, for the second year in a row

Interesting to see two more Toia's playing Harold Matts as centres.

Yep Ekepati was one of the standouts last year in a pretty good CC Roosters Harold Matthews side. In the trials which can be watched on BarTV Ekepati has been outstanding as well in a side that beat CC Roosters twice, Bears, Newcastle and Illawarra. Really interested to see how Charleston Te Rore goes as he was almost unstoppable in our Harold Matthews side last year. Nice to see the CC Roosters providing us with Mareko,Ekepati,Gibbs and 2 more Fesolai brothers.

All good mate, I think next week I'll just make it a mega thread for both grades anyway, wasn't sure best way to go about it.

I know the decision was made late last year to field a CC Roosters SG Ball side but think it would be great to disperse a bit of the talent rather than just taking all the gun CC talent into the Roosters SG Ball side. Need to keep the CC side competitive so the local kids still see it as a viable pathway to first grade.

I thought Te Rore was a real stand out last year, very similar build to Lavakeiaho, big lad but seemed to have a better engine and didn't gas quickly at all.

Yeh locked up to the end of 2028, thought fair chance we might lose him given how stacked we are for halves.

                            Good video I saw of him yesterday that I thought others might be interested to watch;

Do you reckon Rodwell & Foley can be top class halves for the Chooks?
What happens with Elliott & Hugo for that matter.
Does Robbo go with Watson as his 14 or does Hugo get the gig?
