From listening to Robbo in the pressa and watching the past few games, it seems we have changed our style of play to small forwards with fast leg speed running through the middle. The effect is fast play the balls, which gives more time for Walker, Teddy and Keary. While this may change with TKO and Collins coming back it could be the way of the future? Egan Butcher, Watson and Brandon Smith could be lethal in the years to come.

I've noticed a big difference too and that's testament to Robbo for moving along and trying something new right when we need it and it's working..
A few of us did say that after Origin was out of the way, it was going to be a sort of 'reset' for the team. It's been so refreshing to watch these past 2 games and even the Fox commentators were having a great time last night. They seemed to really enjoy the game and you could hear it in the commentary. No snide comments from the cheap seats or peanut gallery at all. I feel like the team has had a big resurgence all of a sudden. Like Big Kev used to say, I'm excited..

They are certainly offloading more and are less structured in attack - from 16th in offloads to 6th now - Last Night 14 offloads to 5 and support play is much better - players anticipating line breaks and supporting the ball carrier in numbers compared to players making line breaks with no players in support - need to keep improving in these areas.
Interesting how Robbo will use Manu - I assume he will be playing a Tedesco like role in attack.
Not sure if it will be a case of too many cooks in the kitchen with Keary/Tedesco/Manu/Walker all possibly demanding the ball first pass off the ruck - will need careful thought on this so players don't get in each others way and the attack becomes too predictable and confused.Last edited by King Salvo; 07-23-2022, 12:16 PM.

I think we are finally adjusting the playing style to suit this 6 again rubbish. You can definitely see the roster is under transition. Also the addition of Lodge is creating more off loads and this opens up play for our team. We are lethal from open play. I think we are a work in progress and people need to be patient with the transition. Still feel we are a another 1 to 2 years off another serious challenge.

not having Collins,SST,sitili, and JWH/lodge only just coming back to the team, we were forced to play that way, interesting if it continues with a full pack again.

Even Gordan Tallis reserved abit of praise for us in the post game. I nearly choked on my whisky and coke hearing him celebrate our attack last night.
