for those interested Cherro tweeted during the week that he should be back playing in around 8-10 weeks, you would have to think he is virtually no chance of first grade this year, hopefully he can get a good 10 week stint for Newtown so the club can decide whether he is worth another 1 year deal for 2013.

MRIHK, the kid can play just been extremely unlucky with injury, I remember seeing him play in the pre-season in 2010 he was a standout in the foundation cup before being injured, it is a long road back for him now, but just have a look a Cordner he has had similar injury problems and is now just starting to find his feet in first grade.Originally posted by Mad_Rooster_In_Hong Kong View PostI reckon we should cut his bloke loose.
if Cherro can survive the second half of the season with Newtown it would be worth the risk giving him another 12 months.

Yeah I know he can play fletch, no doubt about that. I just wonder what he is going to have left to offer when and if he finally makes it back. I guess you are right though. We have held onto him this long so we may as well wait a little longer. Certainly 2013 must be do or die for him though.

Im all for signing sbw for a season...but im doubting hell ever be the same as he was. Easts are dumb, we always go for them past their prime. Cherrington will be better, and at a quarter of the cost, with a world to prove. With the money SBW wants, given the backrowers we have, and the fact mini is getting worse, id be throwing the whole farm at Slater.....as a priority....over sbw.Originally posted by Mad_Rooster_In_Hong Kong View PostI think you will find we already have another SBW. His name is SBW.Last edited by melon....; 03-23-2012, 12:24 PM.Alcohol never solved any life problems.....then again neither did milk.

All I can say is that he has played very limited football since his 'indiscretion'. Some might call it bad luck, I think otherwise.Originally posted by Mad_Rooster_In_Hong Kong View PostKarma, like religion is a superstition NC.

even Ryles thinks we have already signed SBW, there is an article on NRL.com talking about his move to the Storm and how he understands the club wanted to re-sign the youngsters and have enough room for their two major signings Maloney/SBW
