Hey lads, because of all of this drama with Fatrell and the game on Friday night the opinions on our finals position have seemed to be lost rightly so. So now where does everyone reckon we would be better off? 5th or 6th...

Assuming Manly beat the Cows they wrap up 4th spot so realistically it is between 5th and 6th for us against Parramatta. I've heard Parramatta are looking at resting like 6 odd players from their team to face Penriff this week so that will most likely be a loss for them (assuming Penriff don't rest too many). Then there's us who literally don't have the luxury of resting anyone really and struggle to continuously name a fit 21 each week who are taking on the Raiders who will be in for a huge game trying to secure their spot in the top 8. So if we win this game on Thursday night we could secure that 5th spot and play either the Sharks or Raiders in week 1 of the finals which I would be very comfortable with to be honest.

Keen to hear everyone's thoughts, I know we are huge odds to win it especially after the weekend with more injuries and what not, but obviously we all want to make it as far as possible to make this year even more special!

Yeah of the options left I would think we are a good chance of beating The Knaughts. Doubt Titans will get into 8th

I hope we finish 6th to setup the possibility of week 2 vs Souths.

The issue is Parra are planning to rest players vs Panthers which could end up being a cricket score for Panthers. We could still potentially lose to Raiders and end up 5th and play the Raiders again week 1.

Why? If we beat 7th placed and Rabbits lose to Panthers it sets up a Chookies v Rabbits elimination and revenge will be sweet.

The goal is to have the most experienced & fit players by the week 1 of finals so I'd say rest whoever necessary so we'll have best possible team first finals game.

I am wondering how J Morris will be when he returns and where he will play left or right centre - Left for the attack or right for his defence - Other centre options - Keighran but which side left or right - his defence is a concern so maybe left centre - Sitili or Crichton other options

Whats with this issues with his defence? Are you still going on about him having to play a full match defending at hooker? He's not great but has been a decent defender at centre and surprisingly able to take some bombs just like...just like Manu ....well a little like him. right now we need a kicker cause Manus points are no longer there.

Interesting what sides Storms and Panther select for this week - do they rest players with the minor premiership on the line? - heard Eel intends to rest players along with Knight who cant improve on 6th place- Rabbit likely to rest players too

Teams score or were scoring 70% of their tries against the right side defence - i figure playing Keighran and Ikuvalu both on the right defence vs Left side attack may not be a great idea - Play Keighran left centre with the experienced Toops outside him and the experienced J Morris Right Centre with Ikuvalu outside him.
