Saying a prayer for Billy Smith

I think he is going to use this chance to really shine as he knows JMoz hasn't made his decision for next year yet, and with all the hype on Suaali I think he is going to give Robbo more heartache by continuing to play very well and put more effort of all the injuries that have set him back....
With him in the line up I am feeling even more confident on Friday night and also when we come up against the Eels the week after.

[QUOTE=Salvatori Grubber; Praying has merit, omnipotent being or other, in my humble opinion like.
Gotta be kidding. Look at God Is Not Great (Christopher Hitchins) and Richard Dawkins' writing re surveys of prayer outcomes in the US - nil, nyet, nada.
On another issue, Burgess quite justifiably took exception to young Bill giving him up in the way that a Scots prefect might. Amazes me that some here are welded onto the old misinformation about Burgess, his Appeal set the record straight for anyone who might care to look. As Thucydides observed way back, most people have no desire to determine truth and are much more inclined to accept the first opinion they hear. Both prayer and Burgess are apt examples of that.

Perhaps admin could set up a separate "Sam Burgess is innocent" forum. Paddo could run it.

Dunno, haven't heard the outcome anywhere and I'm sure that I would have if there was anything in it given our commercial media (and even the ABC these days). At the time there was no suggestion that he was picking up the children, he was on the road at Braemar apparently Sydney bound.
With respect 75, did you read my reference to Thucydides?
On the subject of the lack of reliability of our media it is shameful that Murdoch gives those two clowns (Jones and Kelly) a platform on Sky. As far as inoculation hesitancy is concerned Scomo ned look no further than his old mate and the rest who put sensation before public safety. The scientist who developed AZ got an ovation at Wimbleton and rightly so but the mugs here still rely on Murdoch or prayer or whatever other looney idea that they've first heard.
