Should we rest walker for a sustained period now that Hutchinson is back and play him alongside lam? It is very clear walker is very talented and is our future but that’s the key word “ future “ and he is playing busted right now. The last thing we need is for him to seriously injure himself or do we keep him in the 17 for his long term development. Maybe select him against the low teams??

    thoughts??

It's a great year for the young guys to get NRL games under their belts. They need NRL experience not park football.

Do we not want to produce anymore points this year?

I would rather rest Lam to be honest, hopefully never to return to our top 17!

In regards to Walker, every week is a great learning curve for him and will be a bonus for his development moving forward..

        I say don’t rest him!

Now is the perfect time to be blooding him. Go out there make some mistakes and learn some harsh lessons.

If there's risk of him doing long term or permanent damage I'm sure Robinson wouldn't be playing him.

I think Hutchinson comes in because he can defend and kick long, two things Lam hasn't done well.

But please God no, don't make me suffer through a Lam/Hutchinson pairing.

Baptism of fire, he has run our teams attack basically all on his own imagine when he has Luke back, we will be dangerous again both sides of the park, the kid keeps getting smashed and yet seemingly is unfazed, digs deep into the line just like Cronk opens up space for say Luke and Teddy out the back this is a great learning experience he can already run this team and with our main man Kezza to come back the thought wow.

We look after our players always have the Roosters wouldn’t risk him if he was injured, the more he plays the better, injury is part and parcel of this game it’s unavoidable what irks me is all the big boys run at him then Victor says that’s enough and wacks these ‘big boys’ and gets given 6 weeks if you can’t protect your little men what’s going to stop them running at him all game?

What he does need atm is a bodyguard and that man should be Nat Butcher he’ll tackle himself silly, all game long and help our forwards out with the tough stuff, Sitili to the bench or out all together until he learns to pull his finger out of his ass.

Manu on his right is no better I’m starting to lose patience with his turnstile defence I’d like to see Suaalli to centre or even young Billy Smith come in Manu can go to the wing.

            Thoughts?

I didn’t mean to write this much apologies.

Well missy you may not have to worry about that combo as NSW are looking for a new 6 & 7 pairing, and then they would be unavailable for selection for Easts.

I am a bit concerned about a Walker Keary pairing being a bit too small.

Cronk was short but he was wide as.

Wait until Keary retires and Volkman takes his place.
                  We'll be fine.

if he needs to be rested then so be it but i hope he plays every game and i'm looking forward to see how he responds after last week's shellacking. best way for him to get experience is by playing games

Walkers defence is a major worry, no question of his courage and effort, but he is being targeted, and just not physically able to handle it.

I believe Radley will make a big difference to his game, allowing him a bit more space as second receiver.

As others have mentioned, if he is fit then play him, as this experience will be great preparation for seasons to come.

See how the ladder plays out and rest him if possible

Too small atm, but we have no choice.
                              Lam is a joke.
