The moon boot was probably just a precaution.
Only a matter of time before he gets seriously injured if made tackle big players all 'night'.
    He's our 'whole' attack.

They'll just trample him and score tries at will.
Kikau's eyes will light up when he sees Walker defending inside Manu.
We hid Cronk in the 2018 GF.
We surely should be able to do the same with Walker.
Manu is still rushing out of the line in defence and tackling no one.

BB...with Fitzy going, would you be interested in being our defence Coach?

Different position, but reminds me of Toops a little. Once he bulked up a little, people stopped having tactics like 'push Toops back!!!' It'll get to a point where Walker's a little nugget who nobody wants to run at.
        If's he's around long enough.
He was 17 'last week', is skinny and a few game rookie.
IMO it's folly to expect him to tackle big players running at pace.
If we want to lose games, we keep making him defend inside Manu....instead of replacing him with a forward.

          No.
But I'd like our next defence coach to go to Tonga and Samoa and buy some big, huge, players. Mean, tough, ...there must be some.

Yep it's tough ay... while I don't want him getting hurt, IMO it's totally legit for teams to (for example) instruct their front rowers to run right at him so long as they're not doing any dog shots and stuff. Thus far they haven't... although [touch wood] that's my other fear... if he cops a dog shot that has him out for a few rounds (he will eventually - probably from some thuggish no-hoper), then it will have a severe impact on our reason.

He had buckley's chance of tackling Cartwright, and Cartwright scored anyway... and Walker was injured in the process.
So what was the point of having him defending there?
Zero point that I can see.

I guess because teams like that (e.g. Souffs) get 50-0 put on them when they go in with that sorta attitude.

Little dudes can be really useful in defence because they slow the player down, can have a shot at trying to strip the ball (even if a second tackler comes in from behind) and they're often better readers of the game than their more physically capable counterparts.

To give a mixed netball example, I was defending a dude who's ~6'10 the other day. They could basically just lob the ball up and he'd catch it for a free shot 99% of the time due to his height advantage. After a quarter of this, I volunteered to defend against him. Following a few cheeky intercepts and me out-jumping him on a few occasions (I have a decent vertical leap + wing span) they had to change up their tactic and try getting other players involved. Also, he had dicky knees (was wearing a brace) and was forced from the court once my contest forced him to have to jump around on them rather than just standing there waiting. Since their tactic revolved around lobbing easy balls up to him, this spoiled their flow and we won. I know it's just social sports but IMO if you don't contest scoring attempts, the opposition will score 100% of the time. It's very important to be in the contest.

Your right into Mixed Netball ism22 - Do you watch it on TV to get some pointers in playing it perhaps?

In the case below it was good having a Dickie Knee

We need Walker in attack, anyone else tried at 7 gets trashed on the Pen.
Surely we're smart enough to have someone else, when the play goes to our right defence, quickly swap with Walker.
