The market dictates what players are worth. They are all expecting the cap to go up and there is really a lack of quality halves in the league. Cronk is the best example, whatever he does next season he will be close to the richest player in the game.

I agree though that type of money for Quade is crazy, he is an unproven player in the sport and the position!

Not as ludicrous as paying overs for both Scummy Bill and Cooper and expecting to keep our promising younger players, whilst paying the likes of SKD, Jnr Jnr and Maloney. The figures just don't add up, even with a cap increase.

Paying $700K for Qalude is beyond taking the piss. I don't want us to sign him but I fail to see how he can be worth more than $350K or so to any club. Perhaps his name might get him close to $500K but to suggest that he should be one of the top 2 or 3 paid players is beyond me.

I say SBW will be worth every cent we pay him and then some.
