I love watching Latrell play...just not for Souths.

I also have a feeling Latrell is going to regress once Bennett leaves.

Say what you will about the guy but he knows how to get the best out of players with external/negative noise around them and Latrell seems to have PLENTY of it.

Look at what he has done with players such as James Roberts and Julian O'Neil before that.

My crystal ball is showing that within 3-5yrs Latrell will have either turned into a BJ Leilua type player or is out of the game altogether farming in Taree.

My crystal ball is showing that within 3 years he will be the highest paid player in the game being the marquee signing of the new Brisbane team that Bennett will be coaching.

A player with amazing natural talent but basically 0 work ethic off the field.
Like Inglis he is a wonderful footballer but a shit fullback. They both have atrocious positional play.

Not sure when all his love for Souffs started, his father hated them for the way they treated him, brought him to Sydney then basically put him with a shit family and he ended up sleeping on the beach. When he was at HM and SG Ball age the one thing his father didn't want was him at Souths.

He will get injured again soon, not something I wish on anyone but his work ethic kind of dictates it.

there are only 2 coaches capable of managing him, Robbo and Bennett. After Bennett I think LM will only last a few years

I still can't believe we let Mitchell go. Watching him destroy teams each week for the vermin has me dry reaching, I know he wanted fullback and as wwe have Tedesco that was out of the question. It's still painfull, I wouldn't have minded nearly as much if he joined any other club but the vermin, aaarrggghh where's that bucket.

Just as much as seeing Luke Keary killing teams weekly and winning two premierships with us devastated their supporters. Mitchell is fantastic player and yes watching him killing it for the scum makes me want to vomit in my own mouth but he really seemed to never be a true rooster. it was always about him.

1. We did not let him go, we offered him 800k to play centre (an outstanding amount for a non spine player) and he turned it down.
2. Tedesco is a better fullback
3. He had developed a foul attitude which was not in keeping with Robbos standards. And Robbo tried bloody hard to accommodate his whims despite that.

I would love nothing more than if he stayed, but he was a square peg in a round hole. It was the right decision for him to go and it was the right decision for us to stick to our guns on our offer.

Yep, what a shame. We lost possibly the best centre in this clubs long and proud history...we have no doubt pinched some great souffs players over the yrs but they have hit us with a sledge hammer with latrels signing. He will win the Daily M this year as well just to rub it in..

It is basically impossible to have poor work ethic and succeed in todays ultra fast game. If he had zero work ethic, he would be done and dusted like his brother Shaq...gone and forgotten.

When I hear him speak and laugh when asked about doing extras. when he nicks off to Taree every second week. I consider things like that to be pretty poor work ethic off the field. At the moment he has so much natural talent that he can get by with that. He is a wonderful Centre.

I am not envious and didn't mind the kid when he was here. It is a shame for him he has aligned himself with effwits off the field
