Flanagan has been officially told he wont be resigned beyond 2021 so I guess he will be out sooner rather than later
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

Odd move IMO, unless it's code for 'kid, we're not gonna stand in your way if you find another club for 2020'.

Since he's on our books and playing alright (could put in a k!ck@rse off-season and smash it in 2020) I dunno why you'd do it. IMO this kinda message says 'it doesn't matter how hard you train, you're fired in 12 months regardless'. Way to motivate somebody!

Its nice to see Jnr Jnr appear again right on cue to dominate the chookpen for another off season.

Exactly. This would of been a massive slap in the face to uncle Nick.

Would rather have Benji do a cameo year than have Jr back, cheaper as well. Of the two, I know which one would be a better mentor to young Walker.

mmm so Walker and Lam are the future - if Lam is now the future was he also the future before they signed Flano? - This gets sillier everyday - Robbo says he wont be rushing Walker into NRL so he will i suppose start with Lam - who will kick goals SST??- I think Robbo is losing it

I think you’re in a time warp, or still suffering from last Friday’s loss. 2020 is over

I cant wait for Pearcey to be playing with us next year, its a bit of a risk to play him at fullback but what else can they do if Teddy & Manu are sharing the 5/8 spot.

A big no to Pearce returning from me.

He is getting on, less of a player than he was, and is no longer the right cultural fit for our club. I believe that all parties have moved on and so should we.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

yep, whilst I've always been a fan of Mitchell, might be best to just move on, whether we play lam at half , or drop walker straight in, or sign a more experienced half to a short term deal, I'm not sure. guess I'll trust robbo and Nick on this one .

If the club even contemplates this I will know that Robbo has lost the plot.

There was only one thing that caused the Roosters to go out in straight sets and it wasn't Kyle Flanagan.
Robbo - should have rested most of the players in the last round vs vermin as had already locked up a top 4 berth - that game killed their chances of a 3 peat for sure and certain - a number of players confidence was shot after that game and they never fully recovered from it as individuals or as a team - certainly a missed opportunity as if all were on the same page the 3 peat was a done deal.

                          They were all resting.
Souths wanted the Ron Coote Cup more.
They have a threepeat now and also a ninepeat of the Charity Shield.

i don't think it's right to say we lost the comp cos souths thrashed us. the biggest thing to come out of that game was jake's injury. if the guys lost confidence cos of that loss then that's the problem, not the loss. if we were firing on all cylinders we would have used that loss as motivation.

Still, it gives even more legs to the 50point theory not winning a premiership.

we should lose our first round by 50 next year so the rest of the comp can write us off.
