    50 touches, 10 carries, 1 line break assist & 1 try assist.

Asking for a game where Lam has killed it when he has only started 2 first grade games in the halves is a bit disingenuous, but you are right it’s a big risk. I’m not sure how Flanagan bounces back after last night, he wouldn’t be the first rookie halfback to go missing in their first finals game so does Robbo accept it as part of his development and hope that he learns from it or do we need to move in another direction.

It’s a massive call, one I don’t envy for Robbo because neither may turn out to be the “right answer” and he’ll be criticised either way for it depending on which side of the fence you sit.
Well by ‘killing it’ I meant a game where we all agreed Lam was the best or not far to win the game, especially against a good team and I’m talking about all the years he’s been with us not just this year.

Unfortunately for Flanno he needs a Radley or SBW in attack to thrive. I think dropping him for Lam and have no recognised kicker is playing Russian roulette. I think TKO can kick a ball but can he kick consistently in a game as well as play the 80 mins? What Kyle needs is a minder inside in defence, which is often done with small halves, and that’s not Sitili. I’d like to see Sonny there but I’m not sure what’s going on there with him, but also Angus could do that job.

I can’t see Lam able to win a game that’s on the line and that’s the type of half we need... In the future and if Robbo thinks Flanno won’t make it, and Sam Walker is a project too far atm, well there’s always a player called Burton at the riff... just saying!

I think Lam is the ideal bench dummy half. Good service and has speed out of dummy half. Far better than Maubs for that role. I wouldn't replace Flanno for him especially this late in the season. But I can also see him come on for Flanno late in the game to give us more options if we are desperate.

So you all know what role Robbo wanted Flanno to play though? - I am sure trainers would have been bringing out messages for him to run the ball if this was the case.

Flanno had 1 run 4 metres - Keary 11 runs 33 metres- to go in without your best kicker would be a disaster and he didn't lose the chooks the game.

Some on here just like to single out players after a loss blaming them for it as Friend also cops it from the arm chair critics on here wanting him dropped/replaced/pensioned off - you support the team and players win lose or draw.

Pretty sure Robbo didn’t want him to run for zero runs when he dropped him earlier in the year because he didn’t run enough. Our attack suffers horribly when we have such a pedestrian halfback.

Burton's a 5/8 unless your thinking having Keary at 7 - who kicks goals - maybe the player that scores the try has a shot

He k9icked 4 goals maybe 1 or 2 that someone else may have not got.
So he gives us 4 points, but he cost us somewhere between 8 and 18 points.

Lams best position is five eighth. But he and Keary can mix and match and threaten on both sides in attack if Robbo goes that way. I think his defence is at least as good as Flanagans, its just the goalkicking issue.

                    Flanno is good.
Throws good passes, kicks good goals, good tackles...rookie half in rookie year.
2 goals he kicks equal one try. 4 points.
                    Nearly the leading pointscor

HE wasn't the one making all the mistakes last night...it was others.
JWH tacked player in nose/ face, penalty...could get suspended.
Dropped the ball in the second half.

Teddy, dumb bat on pass, possession lost.
Also stuffed a play the ball.

                    Keary dropped the ball.
Toops offloaded ball twice to nowhere, one turned into a fiasco with Lussick.

Sitili defence not that good...Panthers scored a try.
Manu came out of his centre position to contest a bomb...try was scored where he should've been defending.
Mansour scored in the corner where Morris should've been defending.

Give Flanno a big pack of forwards to play behind...ones who can tackle effectively for 80 mins and we'll see how he goes then.
Can't expect Flanno to be Test/Origin Cronk this season.

none of the halves made many metres - all around average of 3 metres per run - not a game for such play- Chooks have scored the most tries though so he must be doing something- he made 1 run 4 metres - keary 11 for 30 metres and the Riff halves around 3 metres per run - so it goes to prove it was not a game for halves running games

Massive headache for Robbo and a tough call to make. Flanno is a gun goal kicker and SST doesn't play the full 80 so it leaves a lot of potential points missed if he isn't in the team.
Lam has been out for a long time and it would be a huge ask to throw him back in on the back of a few minutes off the bench at hooker to starting halfback.
More than likely all our opposition from here on in will have very dangerous left edge attacks and will be going straight at Flanagan and he hasn't been able to stop them all year.
One thing is certain and that is we can't have Flanagan and sitili defending together.

I don’t think anyone is expecting Flanagan to be the next Cooper Cronk, we are all smart enough to know that’s unrealistic..

What we are asking for is Flanagan to take on the line to take the pressure off Keary, which will in turn enhance our attack!

Yes I agree Flanagan’s defence isn’t great but the bigger issue is his lack of running with the ball..

The unfortunate reality in my opinion is Flanagan is not a natural runner and hence will never be what we are expecting, so best to cut our losses at years end and move on!

Simply solution...in defence replace Flanno with Liu.
Hide Flanno on the opposite side to where the ball's going.
Pretend he's got an injured shoulder...worked with Cronk.

                              News flash:
Kikau will run over the top of Walker and Lam as well as Flanno.

Like I said...the smallest player in our future team should be 6ft tall and 100kgs.
ie: our halves would look like SBW.

"How to beat Wests Tigers...run big players at Brooks all night".

How to beat any team...run big players at their small players all night.
                              Cleary is not small.
Big is best...especially under the new rules.
