  • Collins & Angus

Collins started our go forward in the second half and Angus nearly got us there. Both great game. Jared was a liability from the get go. SST was a little quiet tonight. If Jared is suspended next week then so be it, at least I can breath easy every time he looks like infringing. Special mention to Cords! He put everything on the line. Let’s not forget the extra advantage Penrith has at home cause if this game was played at the SCG or ANZ, we get them PLUS we missed Jakes tackling machine!

The 3peet is not over regardless whatever pundit or fairweather fan spews out of their gob!

    Angus is absolutely incredible.

He showed tonight that the right edge is his spot. He is frightening and I wouldn't swap him for Kikau, Fifita or anyone.

    Our best by far.

Boyd was incredible too. Played his ring out.

On the other side our attack was atrocious. With no Sonny or Victor the halfback has to stand up. Flanagan was missing in action.

And that’s why we need Sonny, next week with Jake back on.

It’s that distribution in the middle of the field. You could see when Aubusson came out he was just looping 10-15m passes on nearly every play in good ball and whilst a lot of them didn’t hit their mark at least the field finally started to open up for us.

We’re also sacrificing Teddy’s support game by trying to offset the loss of Radley by asking him to ball play more. I would to see us just revert back to a power game up the middle with Keary and Teddy running off Collins, Liu & SST. Don’t see enough of it any more.

I thought Isaac Liu was huge for us, ended up tackling himself to a stand still but all of his carries were quality weaving in and out of traffic.

Liu was our best player in the first half by a mile, the rest of the pack was all over the place - their second stints however were very impressive, not sure what happened there.

Liu is consistently solid, did well in the first half along with Lussick.

I was particularly impressed with Lussick tonight, particularly in the first half. Certainly hasn't done his future prospects any harm.

Both Angus and Lindsay did very well. At least the latter is set to get much more game time next week.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

They were both huge tonight and Liu was a handful in the middle. JWH looks busted to me but he keeps trying.
Cords was massive dragging us back into the contest with a massive captain's knock.

Id give Angus our 3 pts. And Lindsay was our best front rower on the night for sure.

We aren’t pushing up like we were in that golden run. Aren’t putting pressure on their defence. Chalk and cheese.

I thought all our C's were great: Cordner, Crichton and Collins.

I love Liu and think he's totally under-rated. Maybe it's because I have huge expectations on him, but I thought he was a bit quiet last night.

Whats the go with playing teddy as an additional half. He used to sniff around our hit ups in support looking for a constructive offload. But now he is sitting flat in the back line almost like a small 2nd rower. No attack but getting alot of defenders smashing him.
