  • A theory

There’s no hiding from the poor game last night however we started so well and then Friend is injured, is it possible that the players in the back of their mind said “ Fark this why go hard and get injured we have a more important mission next week”
I also have a question to all the supporters who are calling our season over: will you be watching the roosters play next week or switching to the AFL playoffs?

What I don’t get is how could anyone who follows the Chooks think that the players would think “Fark this why go hard & get injured”.
What have I missed here because the club I go for does not have that mentality especially under Robbo. I’m not sure why they played so poorly last night maybe it had something to do with playing a more committed side I don’t know but the Roosters team I follow did not think fark this why go hard because we don’t want to get injured.
AFL what the fark is that?

I'd be super disappointed if any roosters player thought fark this, why try ? I can live with losing, but lack of effort is unacceptable.im prepared to give pur team the benefit of the doubt, we had a shocker, south's we're on. if we ever , ever tanked a game no matter the circumstances, and it became public, I would rethink supporting the team. thankfully I don't think this is the case. greatest example this year is the dogs efforts despite lack of talent, vs the Broncos who have talent, but can't be bothered trying. I'd prefer to support the dogs every day of the week.

With the Raiders beating the Sharks 38-28 Parra can't take it easy or they will finish 5th- So looking like the Panthers is the matchup - A lot has happened since the only time the Chooks have played Penrith - jumped out to a 12 - 0 lead before losing 20-14. Need their A Grade game to be beat a very confident Penrith outfit.

Parra and WT 4 All after 12 minutes

no doubt the players were aware that it was a meaningless game. you can't expect them to get up for the big games if they're getting up for meaningless games too.

i'd rank this loss as important as our big loss to newcastle in the pre-season trial.

score blew out cos our make shift right defence was hopeless. that won't happen again. 6 agains and losing our best defender after 3 mins didn't help.

if we were an inexperienced team with a crap coach i'd be worried but we're b2b premiers with a track record of turning it on in the finals. the extent of the loss doesn't mean nothing but the boys have the chance to take it on board and be BETTER because of it.

no guarantee it will make us better but it will if we're sensible about it. like gal said - he wouldn't want to be the team that takes on the roosters after this.

Nah, Robbo and Brad Arthur got together and worked out that the Chooks play better against the Panthers in Penrith; and the Eels have got the Storms measure and a good track record at Suncorp. It’s as plain as day
                ..it’ll be interesting to see

You don't understand we never got out of first gear on purpose, souffs the refs pets were in top gear, hence 60-8 scoreline.

You will see the real Roosters next week. As far as tanking goes, the storm and raiders rested a plethora of players, does that not fit the same mould?

I reckon you wouldn't even get through one half of following the doggies before you came crawling back.

I think my post was fairly clear. I felt there was some effort, not none, don't make it something it wasn't mate. you think I don't support the chooks ? get real , and rubbish we didn't get out of first, we were in 4 th gear at 10 mins, then we went backwards, rapidly, there are people on here who dotn actually support this team, go troll them , I stand by my post.

All good brutha, regardless of point of view or what the Roosters plan is a scoreline like that hurts all of us no matter what.

So if we went into all games fully committed to win them all, then why are we resting players?
