  • Finals

Let's be honest. It's a bit of a bastard that we'll be playing the Storm in week one of the Finals.

It's going to be absolutely rugged.

    A must win situation.

Lose that one and you're unlikely to be able to back up the next week, then the week after that etc.

Even if we win we're unlikely to come through unscathed if the last Storm game is anything to go by.

Pray the Eels win there last 2 and play our reserve grade team against Rabbits and get beaten.

    Finals Week 1 : Panthers v Roosters.

Melbourne winning the last 17 games they have played in Queensland has me nervous. But if anyone can beat them up their this year, it will be us or the panthers. We should of beat them this year at Suncorp.

That is a definite possibility. But I feel if you want to win a comp, you should be able to adapt and win anywhere. Also the panthers wouldn’t be easy to beat anyway.

I'm the odd one out, I'd rather play the Storm than the Panthers the first week

The Storm should fear us. Not the other way around.

The scars of 2018 & 2019 will not have healed for them.

storm wouldn't have won plenty in a row up there if they'd played us every week. we're a good chance. if we play em first week maybe brandon smith is still out.

week off can be an advantage but if we were to lose the first week from 3rd spot, we'd play the winner of 6 v 7 at the scg, probably newcastle or souths so we should win that. and if we win without injuries or suspensions then playing the extra week wouldn't be a big disadvantage, given the shorter season and the fact that we've had a lot of guys out injured.

if we win this week we can rest guys v souths so we'll be nice and fresh for the finals.

Mmmmm. It will be tough. Both storm games have been brutal this year. And you just know Bellamy will be super pissed about being knocked out by us the last two years and out to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Trust in Trent though, he will find a few extra gears for the finals.

Need the week off in my opinion. As we saw in 2014 if you lose that first week you’re then playing grand finals every week to stay alive, it’s too hard to maintain. I suppose it’s not impossible and our guys would back themselves to get it done but ideally you really want the week off, it’s a huge advantage.

Said it before and still believe it , we should fear no team but by God they should fear us , gauantee they are all looking over there shoulder in awe of how Robbo has us storming home , sorry for the pun , yet again , starting to play our best footy at the end of the season , nearly back to full strength Stop worrying about who we beat this week and start looking at who we beat the week after .

I have no doubt The Storm are more fearful of us then us of them.

We beat ourselves in the two games against them this season. We were dreadful in both. Just won’t happen come finals time.

                        Bring on The Storm!

That is not the Roosters way . We control our own destiny . Bring on the Storm at Brizzy and a week off after !

If I had the choice, I would rather play Penrith than the Storm, as they are not proven in big games and it is easier traveling up to Penrith then Brisbane (again). I do, however, agree with the point that we need to beat the best to get the ultimate prize, so we might as well get it out of the way early. Bellamy will have them primed, though, and that does worry me.

Having the week off is critical, so we need to strive for this ahead of anything else; the rest should ultimately take care of itself.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.
