Except your not allowed to do that. That is why there is a 21 man squad ... 17 for game day and 4 extras you can use if required/desired. You can’t ship someone in from outside the 21 without special permission from the NRL on a case by case basis.

not sure about that. they might have used the 4 games as a rough estimate but doubt it's written into his contract that he can only play 4?

I wouldn't... 'coz with our injuries (lotsa players 50:50 to play, I'd put B-Moz + JWH in that category) we quite literally need to name players who we're actually gonna field. If we play silly buggers and somebody gets hurt (or isn't quite ready for the game) then we're stuck without a reserve who can actually play.

There's no keeping the opposition guessing because all the opposition coaches know he's not up to playing just yet. Its so professional now that it takes at least 1 month to prepare the body to be assaulted to play a game of first grade football no matter how fit you are.
