What's the view on how many point will be needed to finish 8th- 20 or 22- One would say that Penrith/Parra/Storm will need at least 1 more win to make a bird of it to qualify for finals footy - position to be determined. Meaning 5 places will be available for the remaining teams- some of course will have to win most of their remaining games,

3. Eels
4. Easts
5. Raiders
6. Sharks

8. Knights

the top 5 are well clear of the rest, it all depends on how many injuries the teams have.

5 to 8 contenders are Newcastle, Canberra, Souths, Cronulla & Manly if they get some troops back. Warriors & Tigers cant make the 8 & neither can any team under them.

The Sharks have a huge opportunity now to entrench themselves in the Top 8 a victory against the Slime will get them into 5 th place and the opportunity to push for a top 4 spot when we play them down the track, also they will be watching with interest seeing as we play the Storm next week.

Our for and against puts us 2 games ahead of 5th now.

so long as we make the 8 and have everyone back on deck and firing i'm not too fussed but you want to finish as high as possible and a top 2 spot would be nice. in some scenarios finishing 5th might be better than finishing 4th. still, i know we'll turn up every week and give it our best shot, regardless of who's wearing the rwb.
