Just watching NRL360 and they were saying that last week Sam Walker was brought into the Roosters "bubble" as he has now fully recovered from shoulder surgery and preparations begin to get him ready to play first grade when he is called on.

Next year via Bears for young Sam. Looking forward to watching him wear our colours sometime though.Originally posted by Mickie Lane View PostUnless he has put on at least 10kg of muscle then I cant see him playing FG this year even if Keary & Flanno go down. He's just recovered from shoulder surgery so to play him in FG would be madness, imagine Kikau or Asofa Solomona charging into him.

He is definitely bigger than when he first arrived, all things going well injury wise he won't play first grade this season.Originally posted by Mickie Lane View PostUnless he has put on at least 10kg of muscle then I cant see him playing FG this year even if Keary & Flanno go down. Want to know what I think? Oh...
Well, here goes anyway.
Keary out, Lam comes straight in to the number 6. Knows our systems and plays well, v good player who is top 13 at many clubs. Think K Nikorima with a little more speed. Better at 6 than 7 as his running game is main strength ahead of organisational skills.
Flanno down is more debatable. Robbo could move Keary in to 7, Lam to 6. He could also bring Verrils or even Hutch to 7 if its short term.
I'm not in favour of young Walker coming straight in this year. Don't think it benefits him, but the fact he is in the bubble shows how highly the club rate him.

Maybe mate just not sold on Lam ....he got his shot last year and blew it and went down the pecking order ...he will have to redeem himself if given the chance.Originally posted by Jacks Fur Coat View PostWant to know what I think? Oh...

I agree. There have been plenty over the years who have been good enough to debut as teenagers. As good as Walker may be he has no chance of replacing Flanagan at the moment. Flanagan is progressing very nicely.Originally posted by Bondicigar View PostHe was a star at 16 years of age playing in australian 18's team.
