  • Radley needs to pick up his EHS!!

Semi serious for personal reasons, but watching the great Inflictor cutting timber with a powered drop saw without safety goggles as a minimum makes me want to give him a clip around the ears! (Not to mention ear protection)
I had a pretty bad eye injury as an apprentice back in the 80s and the tradies I was working for should have known better and educated me!! I was lucky...
I kick my apprentices butts if I see them not using protective gear!! And other tradesman with apprentices who are not drumming safety into them should have their butt kicked!
Hope he is teaching Keary etc good habits!!
It only takes one second to lose something that you’ll never get back!
Anyway... great to see them busy and keeping their skills up!

Haaaaa.... I actually am a former sparkie.. but was still cutting etc with drop saws!!!
I was chasing a wall with a massive grinder when I had an eye injury... tradies were laughing at how much dust and crap was getting over me but didn’t stop me to say protect yourself!
The guy showed me what to do then handed me the grinder and said finish it.. I didn’t have time to think or ask for protection and I wasn’t a meek kid!

What is he doing?....no eye protection!
Any chainmail gloves? can't catch a footy with no fingers!
He's is not exactly perfect with his hands 100% of the time. He could misjudge, easy enough to do.

          What is going on?

I'd prefer they were both at home doing jigsaw puzzles.

Many moons ago my father had in our home garage a 'band saw' thing he made himself. All good, all solid, all heavy.
The blade thing was in the base, spun at a 'million miles an hour', You pushed the timber away from you.
          His pride and joy.
No guards, blade ready to ruin lives in the blink of an eye.
When he passed, I couldn't wait to get rid of it...to me it resembled those saws in the movies where the bad people start to feed the good people along to the spinning blade as 'torture'.

I'd like to feed your mate Jonesy into one of those spinning blades, tie him to the railroad tracks or sumpin' but I bet he'd still keep talkin'. How is the fool anyway, still calling bullshit on the 'Rona from the country estate?

Watching him, and Peta (one classy lady) on Sky 'Jones and Credlin' now, sticking it to Turnbull, who IMO would've been better off not writing that book.
Maybe he missed: "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".

AJ: "The more we hear from Credlin the more foolish Turnbull looks."
Peta accused him of using "robust, filthy really...language".
If true, that is very bad, speaking like that in front of women, work colleagues, in 'public' is not acceptable to more than one person.
She held back, said she was not going to play his games.

She alleged other things about his actions, character.

An investigation by ACA would be interesting.
She seems to be a woman who tells the truth.

I have a family member who used to work in the (then) Deputy PM’s office a few years ago. Peta Credlin is a formidable woman, but she’s certainly no angel

Totally agree, not a good look,
I too have spoken to a young worker who lost his eyesight, first day on the job, after leaving school

Out of respect for the original poster of this thread I will desist from hereon responding to BB. That said, the Right Wing cheer squad on Sky have denied everything that Turnbull said about them except that the Lib Tea Party saw him as not being "one of them" meaning that his mildly progressive views (most of which the majority of Australians would agree with - SSM., the need to address Climate Change) did not accord in any way with their petty bourgeois anti intellectual, anti muslim/anti China/anti Union and pro religion articles of faith all in the service of the Murdochs. It was that same irrational petty bourgeois cohort that, in anther time, made up the bulk of the SS.
It's true BB, you did miss out on a lot at NBHS, the ability to think for yourself being most prominent.

Ahem, twas thyself who wanted to put no 1 shock jock boy in my band saw blade!

Learnt some things at NBHS, nothing much of any real use after leaving school though.
Could speak and write French quite well, but Paris was a long way from Sydney.
Learnt "dingo-cunning" too. "Wait until teacher's back is turned before throwing back at other boys the shyte they have thrown at you."
Learnt that the only way to stop being physically hit by bullies was to arm myself with a weapon, and stand and fight. (skinny boy, no big muscles).
I tried mummy-dearest's way..." you must not hit other boys, darling...you might hurt them". It didn't work.
I thought for myself, one day after school...and with father's tools made myself a good quality nail rod.
Just the right size to fit in my Globite school case.
Nails thru the top, protruding from the bottom, smooth sanded round handle.
I warned the boy sitting behind who kept hitting me on the collarbone with a heavy glass rule. He laughed and kept on doing it.
Waited til teacher's back was turned, leapt from my seat, fire eyes of hatred lit up, I belted him across the chest with the nail rod.
Sat back down, pretended to be angelic. No one said a word.
                            b.b the carpenter.

Because they are governing like socialists and you are a beneficiary with the relief payments.
