  • This is a test

It’ll be a test for sports worldwide if crowds are really worth it; or if the same product can be replicated without fanfare and absorbed on screens only. Especially low attenders such as rugby league.

Most of the money for sport comes from broadcast rights; but now that crowds are being locked out, what does it mean for the game?

Will the game change without a crowd to cheer & jeer?

Any player will tell you the crowd support is a massive advantage. Teams lift when the crowds get behind them. Can you imagine the State of Origin or the GF with no crowd?

Speaking of crowds for all you old time supporters who used to sit in the Turner Stand of the old Sydney Sports Ground.....i ran into chant leader Brian at the Green Valley shops a few days ago. He was in good spirits and looked well. Had a Roosters beanie on but not the one with the chook comb on top. I asked what was the go with the Samurai headband, the sticks and the theatrical routine he would do and he said something about putting some sort of Aboriginal curse on the opposition players.....i didn't make much sense but it didn't matter it was just great to see him. The Roosters used to cop a flogging more often than not in those days but we had a ball in the Turner Stand....everyone was so accommodating & sharing with the Mary Jane!

It will be a bit different but the fundamentals will be the same.

Davey Warner really fed off the crowd
Cricket: David Warner scored a hard earned 50 in Australia's ODI clash against New Zealand but appeared to have no idea due to the lack of applause. The match is being played behind closed doors due to the Coronavirus.

Same with rock concerts maybe they will go ahead with no crowds from now on.

Dont want to sound like the fun police but this corona virus just might save a few lives with the cancellation of all these rave and doof festivals.

The dealers and their stooges won't be happy. "Underground" raves will still happen though

Let's have a cheer track over the loud-speakers for us and a boo track for he opposition. BTW will the cheer girls be allowed to perform?
