  • Shaq Mitchell

    For anyone that cares....

Des Hasler rates Don Singe as the best trainer in the business - and plenty of good judges agree.

And Singe will have his work cut out for him whipping new signing Shaquai Mitchell into shape.

The older brother of troubled superstar Latrell, Shaquai has been in the Roosters system for a few years and played for Wyong Roos on the NSW Central Coast last year.

He tips the scales at around 150 kilos - and will need to strip around 40 kilos off his massive frame to be considered for the NRL.

Front-rower Shaquai, aged 23, has been signed by Manly feeder club Blacktown Workers but Hasler knows the big bloke has ability and he could be a surprise packet in 2020.

100% it was just to please his brother. The bloke is a sack of lard...imagine his lateral defense in FG lol

I wish Shaq the best, but the last thing he needs right now is a feeder club.

I wonder whether Manly could be an 11th hour dark horse in the Latrell race? Imagine what that would do to their salary cap (given the turbo brothers, their younger brother, the $10 million man DCE etc). I know that family is particularly important to Latrell, but I somehow think that that might be a bit too much of a stretch! I also get a bit sick of reading those Vermin supporters being critical of us for offloading Shaq. I think the truth of the matter was that he was simply not up to scratch and we had to make a hard decision. I don't think the club straight out treated him badly, but I am happy to be corrected if I am mistaken.
                    MRR or Rabid

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.
