All journalists are the same and most RL commentators fall into the same slop as well. There is no interest in the truth whatsoever.
I think that sports journalists are just probably bigger drunks than the rest. "News" and "political" journalists are the worst with absolutely no integrity or impartiality. (both sides).

I wonder if the standard of RL journos has declined so much over recent years, is the result of most of these journos not being 24/7 journos, but rather all wannabe tv or radio panel commentators !

Years ago, the only journo to appear on tv was Alan Clarkson, then some years later Peter Frilingos appeared as a regular on radio , then over past 10 years the floodgates have opened and you cant turn tv or radio on without numerous journos being panel 'experts'

Its called gossip gutter journalism but the sad bit is alot of people feed into it. Now that the game is owned by the media clubs & players have to talk to them where as in the old days the media didnt own the game so clubs & players could bar jounos if they wrote something negative so the old school journos didnt get involved in the gutter gossip & just reported on the game.
