In a way I've been happy seeing more people talking about league. There seem to be a lot of fair weather fans wearing their brand new 'retro' jerseys, sporting their good old Video Ezy logo. Hopefully they remain interested next year because I get sick of hearing about the VFL and yawnion (even if there's an ongoing yawnion world cup).Originally posted by mightyrooster View Post
Not all of Canberra ROC. It’s pretty annoying being surrounded by the swell of faiders bandwagoners here at the moment, but there’s quite a few of us Chooks supporters here in the nation’s capital.
I'm wearing my Roosters pin with my suit all week. Last year I was sorta disappointed in the lack of Roosters business cobber on sale (e.g. cufflinks, ties, tie clips...etc). IMO they should sell some at the Roosters' store. I have a few blue suits and red ties so these all suffice (I only wear white shirts - boring me - makes it easier for me to choose as they go with everything and you can bleach the hell outta them to so they're always clean).
It's a good vibe in Canberra. IMO they should be a league heartland given their history.

my question is, what are our weakness's. ball control is my biggest gripe. trying to one on one ball strip is another. When we are being beaten by the opposition we go into a panic style footy. if we get a strip done on us , the first thing we do try it back on the opposition. The bondi wall has been re-enforced in the past 4 weeks and will stand up to the attacking ball runners but i think we are not awake to the chip n chase style footy.1911 1912 1913 1923 1935 1936 1937 1940 1945 1974 1975 2002 2013 2018 2019 2020

Canberra are strongest when they are chasing 20 points with 8 minutes left. They nearly chased us down twice this year, and they’ve done it against PARRA away from home a few times that I remember. And this year 3 weeks ago against Melbourne.Originally posted by Team Evil View PostOne of our weaknesses is allowing teams to offload. This is one way teams can break up our defensive line.
The odd strip can be annoying but won't win them the GF.
BUT WE AINT PARRA AND WE AINT MELBOURNE.
ALSO , you’re only as good as your last few games and we’ve been Tremendous over 10 or so.
and finally we need to be hungry enough to dive on a live grenade to win this cause the faders will.
GO ROOSTERS, I TRULY BELIEVE IF WE PLAY AT 70% we will still smash em.
oh yeah, and one more vision and prediction. Canberra will be penalised several times for stripping with 2 in the tackle. Absolutely inevitableLast edited by PeeGee; 10-02-2019, 12:36 PM.Roosters For Ever

Weaknesses
- the weather is predicted to be 32 degrees in Sydney's west on Sunday.
Despite the game kicking off 6ish the temperature will still be mild and i don't believe this will suit our opposition. They enjoy playing on cold nights!
- experience. only one opposition player has GF experience > BJ Leilua.

Think they've revised to around 28 deg now, but isn't kickoff 7.30pm ?Originally posted by theGman View PostWeaknesses

We need to stop having the ball stripped from us.Originally posted by Bansai Pipeline View PostI'm worried about the strip.
We seem more susceptible to it than others.
We also need to stop doing dumb things and losing possession.
We also need to put that "bat the ball on" tripe into the back of the next garbage truck that passes by.
