Saw a report that Cooper might be rested for the Saints game this weekend.

Given that Lam was in the squad for last weeks game, you would think that he would slot in and Keary take the reigns.

Or does Trent shuffle the line and bring Latrell in one spot to 5/8?
    ..it’ll be interesting to see

Please no Latrell to 5/8 , already a failed experiment , and look how well he and the team are doing with him at centre

You would have to imagine Lam get a run. Totally agree with no Latrell at 5/8!!!

Depends what the purpose of the 'experiment' was for.

He has doubled his previous season average for try assists with games still left to go in the season.

I would argue he has a far greater understanding of when to pass and when to run compared to previous seasons.

I don't think it's the right call this late in the season when we are looking to peak but I think if we want to continue to develop him exposure to roles like 5/8 are a must.

Always good when reporters know more than the player involved.

But if we were to rest Coops at some stage in the next 3 games, I'd go Latrell at 5/8 if Hall is fit, to give Hall a chance to show he's worth a place in the 17. Otherwise, Lam. Haven't written Lam off for next year.

We will find out in an hour or so I suppose.

I think Trent decides by his defensive line and how they line up rather than how the ball is distributed out wide.

I'd like to see Lamchops get a gig and maybe this is an opportunity for the staff to have a look ahead of next season. He trains with the squad all the time so wouldn't be coming in cold. It gives us some inexperience in the spine but there's only one way to get experience.

No need to rest Coops - he'll get all the rest he'll need come the end of the season. He is named as captain and I reckon he'll play.

Im with ya. Why rest him now at the business end of the season?

If he does sit it out, wheres Billy Smith?

The club has clearly moved on from Lam given they signed 2 halves for 2020, being Flanagan and Walker. As mentioned in another thread, Cronk was instrumental in the signing of Flanagan. If he thought Lam was much chop, he wouldn't have been spruiking the signing of Flanagan.
