God love him..... Not the sharpest in the shed isn't he!
That debacle on the side line... And also why didn't he try to run the ball around closer to the sticks after that lovely try he scored from the Keary kick. No manly player anywhere in site... But didn't even look around. I think he was just amazed at the try???
He could have taken that under the posts???

He had quite a mixed night, but looked sharp with ball in hand

I thought he was fine. Presumably during that one mistake he went for the ball thinking it was a 40/20 attempt. That or he saw ~30m of free space and backed himself to gobble up ~20m.

Love to see the armchair experts put in the position of making a split second decision as to whether a borderline kick down the other side of the field is inside the 40 while it's raining.

Sure he made the wrong call in hindsight but you can hardly fault a guy who has run 180m and scored 2 cracking tries. Nobody ever plays a perfect game, it's the big picture that matters...

i thought he was good, its round 2, i think some on here are being overly critical personally. we ran out with 1/3rd of our spine, latrell at 5/8th, no cronk, no friend and we still won.

He warmed into last nights game, had a poor game round 1 as well but started to have some really good carries as the game went on. I thought when Keary went off he showed some real good signs of wanting to lead through action.

As for running it under the posts from that Keary kick there's a lot to consider there.

He's waiting to see if it will drop over Tafua's hands or if he's going to have to react to a last second deflection, he's catching the ball off balance to the left of his body, he then needs to re-balance and in those two strides before the dead ball line after he re-balances on a greasy, wet track with so much forward momentum you wan't him to a) suddenly change direction b) be aware of who or who isn't in field and c) be aware of whose behind him.

Gimme a break. Keep it simple. Just put the ball down.

I can’t help but love a 2 time Roosters premiership winner and scorer of tries in 2 grand finals and try scorer in his last 6 games. Love Toops!

He's had a good enough start to the season. IMO he's the best winger currently at the club. A couple of seasons back he resigned with the club even though he was offered more money elsewhere. And he loves the roosters. So even though he has the odd frustrating moment in him I still love him.

Agree with all the great sentiment above...I was more or less trying to make it an endearing comment about his aloofness....should have made it clearer.
I love him!!! Although he can drive me insane... Just like my kids!!

Had a great game. Always tears up Brookie.

Especially liked seeing him excited to score off Keary’s kick. Normally so stoic when he scores and barely cracks a smile.
                        ..it’ll be interesting to see

Yeah I agree mate. I see him as going to a new level in the last couple of years in confidence with his skill level and physicality.

He's now in the top wingers in the game. Looking forward to watching him this season.

Great take and grounding from Keary's ball that was high and in terrible conditions. The bloke can produce a SKD like howler but i love the big dope...no homo
