Can't see the Roosters getting him though it would be fun to see the groncos supporters lose their sh1t.
I assume you mean Fafita is (potentially) better? Pangai is close and off-contract.

That's right JT, Fifita and Payne Haas are the guys I'm thinking about.

TPJ has told the Knights he won't be going there.

I heard on Monday that the Roosters had signed Tevita and that it would be announced in a few weeks time. No doubting the guys a talent. Let see if it’s true, im sure there’ll be more outcry over this one...
I don't see this as anything but media hype. We have Angus coming on board and Mitchell and other young forwards to upgrade. The likes of Collins, Butcher and Faamausili need opportunity to play otherwise they all leave. I hope I am wrong because I think we need another good prop but unlikely.

If you watch other sports, such as overseas Soccer. The teams that win titles, go out and bring in new players in order to stay ahead. The teams that don't, usually fall away. By all means keep the nucleus but a few additions will help keep us ahead of the pack.

That point about the Morris for Fergo switch is an excellent one, he won't play exactly the way Fergo does, so having an extra power runner with ball playing ability in the pack could be what we need. Morris is still one of the best finishers in the business and that is what he has been brought in for, not making 20 hitups a game.
              Exactly mate.

It's a shame Hall broke down. I believe it was a smart move to buy two quality experienced finishers to replace Fergo.

I doubt Fergo will go close to the heights of 2018 again.

A quality forward/metre eater and a back up hooker is what we need now.

People including myself have said we needed another good prop this season, we won the comp so I guess we really don't, the likes of Tetevano, Liu, Collins, Butcher all stepped up when needed and will again next season.

Hall is fine? He's coming over to play for Norths though...

"Often compared to 2016 Dally M Medallist and Tongan teammate Jason Taumalolo, up to five clubs have reportedly been chasing the back-rower."

                        Translation:
                        - Massive islander dude... while we are saying 'they are all the same' we might as well compare him to Tauks and Tetevano.
                        - He was on the open market so at least 5 clubs spoke with his manager at some stage as part of broader discussions with off-contract players.

Agreed. No thanks given his love for coach smiley and predisposition for hamstring injuries.

1yr suggests he only signed on for Wayne's last season.

So both Oates and TPJ are set to shun massive offers and re sign with the Broncos for 40% or so less than what they'd earn elsewhere. And Lodge will do the same.

And to think people have a go at our supposed Sombrero!

The Broncos should be winning the comp every 2nd year with the advantages they have. They are quite frankly the biggest underachievers in Australian sport this century to date.

Agreed. Same with the Cows in years gone by TBH (they had years with like 7 roos in the squad and still struggled).

I reckon people just get jelly because we develop players from the ground up (e.g. Cords, Friend, Latrell, Manu, Toops, Napa, JWH, Maubs...etc) then sign a couple of key marquee players (e.g. Teddy and Cronk or SBW and Maloney) to ice the deal. Whereas they just run amok and sign everybody on $$$ without developing a core squad.

Cows can suck it up. i mean how do they sign Nene right after his breakthrough season (when he's contracted to Merge until 2021 or something) on 'compassionate grounds'? Then Ben Barba comes back at a time when we can forget he's still suspended for half the season (14 games or something for coke... don't forget NRL!!) Stupid little wins like this that cost them long-term because (like Coote who they signed for $1M)... neither will be amazing, neither will develop under a rubbish coach and they'll get jelly when our next prodigy on a junior wage out-performs Barba, Nene and any other flogs they pulled strings to sign.
