Pearce on Cronk

Pearce was a gun. But just played a million miles an hour. That can be really poor from your hooker who should be controlling the game with your half. I'd have loved to have seen it though. If cronk could slow him down he'd offer 10 fold what Jake friend does.Originally posted by mattyh View Postwhilst im a recent cronk convert , i still miss pearce , i would have loved to have seen what would have happened had he maybe converted to hooker with cronk at half, could have been a disaster or could have been brilliant

I don't think you're wrong in making that statement. Pearce's speed and quick hands combined with Tedesco's would've torn it up. Cronks combination with Tedesco hasn't been the same as what many of us were expecting (I suspect)Originally posted by redrooster View PostI still think Pearce & Tedesco combo would have torn it up moreLast edited by Chook Norris; 09-20-2018, 09:17 AM.

I certainly would have no objection if Pearce had stayed, I think he would have been great either at hooker or lock or bench utility, like a Craig Wing. He's about the same size as Radley, or bigger, with a kicking game. We would have been certainties to win the comp if he had stayed, but I understand that he still considers himself a top flight half, it's a shame because his ego might have cost him another premiership in a team game it's important to do the best for the team.
