  • Well done Jake

I have been on his case a few times , but hats off to Jake Friend tonight , he was everywhere in defence.
Added a few good runs and kicks , great game.

I've been hating on him for a few years now. He has been much better lately , hope he continues his good form

He was an absolute beast tonight.

Shame his performance will have gone unnoticed by so many.

If someone like a Luke Keary or Latrell did in attack what Jake Friend did tonight in defence people woulding be raving.

Some of James Tedesco's work on the other side of the ball tonight was absolutely outstanding tonight too. Hard to split them for motm but we lose that game without either on the field tonight.

I think he has got over Pearcy leaving and from a few things I saw tonight, he is quite willing to combine with Cronk.

I hope his form continues, he may not get teddy or Keary praise but we need him at his best to win the comp.

Yep defensively everywhere, his big test will be keeping Cook a bit quieter next week. You can’t stop cook, but minimising his impact will go along way to stopping the bunnies.

Its no coincidence our attack has looked sharper since Friend started running the ball more. I still don't know how we didn't get a penalty the next play after he made that break up the middle in the last 10 mins. There was no way the defence was back onside when Teddy went from dummy half but I guess the refs wanted to keep the Cowboys in the game for as long as they could

Defensive machine last night, tireless effort which saved the game for us with the tackle on JT at the end..

Hope he’s ready for Cook this week, also we will need Collins over Sully on the bench against the big Souffs pack!

Yeah, well done Jake. He needed to step up today without keary.

He leads our line speed in defence and it seems his fitness has improved the last month or so.
Good to see him run a bit and would like to see Cronk or Tedesco push up with him when he does. We would be even more dangerous.
                        ..it’ll be interesting to see

                              Stone the crows.
Jake has played three decent games in a row now. Man, I cant remember the last time that happened.
                              Hope this keeps up.
