apparently we have enquired with his management if he would be keen for an early release from his storm contract.

this is all pending on Cronk if he decides to run around another year.

    Good call. Very good player.

But we need a prop and a centre!!!

Apparently Laurie Daley said this yesterday. Laurie is an old Roosters fan and I like him, but is this for real? I have no opinion on Croft, but he hasn't made the grade at Melbourne ...

He’s been average at best when given the chance to play this season.

He was touted as the next “Cooper” and played a couple good games last year but he was exposed this year for the inexperienced young half that he is. Theres a reason he hasn’t played first grade since the beginning of the next

Is no better than the young potentials we have.

He was that bad when he played this year he will never see FG again at the Storm and I highly doubt at any other club. Like Thirteen said, he def doesnt seem to be better than the two young fellas we have coming through

Why are we talking about bringing in young halves, we have two excellent young prospects in Lam & Sully. We need a prop and another back. Klemmer would be a good addition, I would even think about bringing Kane Evans back, big body and knows our system and he is not getting a go at Parra.

If you're not getting a go at the Wooden Spoon Eels then you must be going pretty damn bad.

Jane Evans is finished. Good bloke, wasted talent.

You're so right. Kane was a wide runner with developing ball skills. Somehow it never happened. Watching him running around in the In-Trust against his old club Newtown showed just how much he has slipped down the ladder. Once rated by Pedro Civoniceva as among the top five young props in the game, A junior rep star whose best season turned out to be his first in grade.

His memories are the big hit on Kasianao, the great ball for Tuivasa Sheck to score in the finals against the Dogs and his controversial try in the same game. He was never the same after playing out a season with a busted shoulder. Should not have happened. Didn't throw himself into it as much after that.

What happened to Evans is a mystery.

He was so dominant as a youngster.

I always felt it was mental. He either didn't have that mongrel that the likes of Napa have, or perhaps it was mostly work ethic.

                      Maybe a bit of both.

                      A shame.

Terrible physique for a prop with ball in hand and poor lateral movement in defense

Also a handful of breaks with the ball being dropped at the end of them.

Brodie Croft has shown much more potential at his age than most other halves in the game .... with consistent mentoring and proper training I would think he could be a very decent long term option.

But that's also presuming that we aren't chasing Cleary. If we are than next year is just a stop gap half back.
