  • Something that stinks about this all

Carney, Myles & FPN let down their team mates, yet their team mates have had no say in what happens

Ryles hit the nail on the head when he said it should of just been dealt in house and has been blown way out of proportion.

Perhaps, and this is just me stirring the blocked dunnies in Kyle Sandilands' palatial ex-abode, but maybe it's a way to get rid of some supposed dead wood. Either the coach or the players.

I reiterate that Matt Elliot was not hired as an assistant coach.

Manly fully support their players despite their faults and it shows on the field with all players putting in as a team.

Roosters introduce stupid rules and fragment the team by blowing every incident out of proportion.

It could never just be dealt with in-house when the club introduced a ban/and accompanying breach notices-cancellation of contracts for any violations.

No official club alcohol ban...that's when it can all be dealt with in-house.

Thats it dice. Our Glamour club is always in the spotlight, yet it seems to have more leaks than the Titanic.

Glammas are always in the spotlight. :-)

You can't hide anything these days...so it's best not to try.

Was it Ron Jones who gave up talking to the media, saying they didn't always quote him exactly, and were inclined to also make things up?

This whole sorry saga is nothing more than a storm in a tea-cup orchestrated by News Ltd. I find it disappointing there are so many Rooster supporters jumping on the Tele band-waggon, lambasting the best player to wear the tricolours since Brad Fittler. Maybe I shouldent be surprised. A lot of our supporters, about 350 from memory, backed a petition to keep Anasta yet spent the last year demanding his dismissal from the club, on this forum. It's well documented Anasta does not want to play in the forwards and also that we do'nt want him in the forwards. If Carney is dismissed News wins and the Roosters team will be the big loser.

I agree that the team mates should have decided in this instance.. Even though I am not a fan of Braith, as captain of the club i would have been happy for him to make the call.

Like it or not, that's what Carney brings to the table. Every minor act is going to be picked up by the media and spun every which way but the truth.

I would be happy to cop it, if the bloke was more cautious and had a few more brain cells to try and avoid some of the spotlight by making some common sense decisions. I know for a fact that some of his team-mates have been in worse shit this season. However, they were wise in choosing the place before hand and wise(or sober) enough to leave quickly before anything escalated into something that could be splattered across the front page.

I said it as far back as his drink driving incident. Todd Carney only cares about Todd Carney. Whether it's because of lack of intelligence or a lack of respect for his team-mates or club, i don't know, but the bloke is a walking headline just like Mason. Unfortunately, just like Mason he doesn't do anything to dispell the perception.

Absolutely spot on BigMike. TC is his own worst enemy. Problem is he's also becoming one of the Rooster's as well, even though he's currently one of their own.

One of the main reason News Ltd wins anything out of this is because TC is such a bleeding loser.

Smithy initiated Elliott's signing. They have been good mates for a long time. Even as rival NRL coaches they often spoke on the phone and offered each other encouragement in rough patches. They should make a terrific team. They have a great rapport and are both analytical thinkers about rugby league.

I think News Limited, News Corp and its owners have just a few slightly more pressing matters at the present time than trying to bring down the Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club. Like avoiding prison.

He'd be busy if the names of the reported other 5 ban-breakers were to be discovered.

He'd probably best be wise in his dispensing of justice though, or he could find himself with a team half full of under 20's kids.

They're multi-skilled, able to do both at the same time.
