Glad we didn't sign him. Not that I think he's a bad player, he just wouldn't address any of our issues and he'd be on big coin.

For all his failings, it might have been worthwhile holding onto Copley. At the very least, an upgrade on Manu, who i still say is not ready for 1st grade defensively.

Copley was terrible for us. I lost count how many times he got burnt for speed turning and chasing.

Yeah he’s not the fastest, and he needs to get bigger.

With modern athletics he won’t lose much speed/agility getting bigger and his speed isn’t a huge part of his game anyway so he should be okay.

I was amazed when he picked up the ball with nobody around him and then ran dead as Boyd came across. I thought he was fast enough to take them on. Maybe he had seen a video of the 2003GF during the week and panicked.

Yeah he never seems to even try to take them on with his speed.

Even against the knights he was in the clear with only Moga 5m behind him who’s fast but no speedster and he passed straight to Fergo.
