The forward pack out there today is our 'future' according to Smith, also mentions some great young talent in our 20s team... including "two or three marked for really big futures" in particular. Wonder who people here rate who they may be...

Smith was on the front foot in this press confrence, really defending the side. even a little shot at the media about blowing up situations

To love Easts is to hate Souffs

was extremely impressed with Takairangi, Cordner and Tasi today.. they were colossal in their work against the St George pack < -- and i do happen to agree that these guys are out future along with Kennedy

honourable mentions to JWH in the early part of the match as well. I thought the 3 consec tackles he made from marker had a large influence

I'm sure I'm not the only one but I never once thought that Takairangi would amount to anything at all for us..

He gives us vital 2nd phase plays thru good offloads which we have been lacking since Conn got injured early on in the year.

                  Cordner looks classy.

Tasi just goes hard and straight all day.

With the way the boys played today I wouldn't shed a tear if Myles, FPN, Carney, SKD never play 1st grade for us again, the first 3 are complete dickheads and SKD is more rocks than diamonds - 1 good season in 5 is pretty piss poor which is a fair summation of his form this year. Funny how he and FPN were both on fire last year, sign new contracts and their form goes in the toilet - coincidence, me thinks not.

Agree mate, I thought he was just another nuffy but I am happy to be proven wrong. he was bloody good today, just hope he doesn't try any more of those attacking kicks!

Very true about JWH, I thought was absolutely immense.

Sterlo said that his attitude in defence out of marker is fantastic - spot on.

So obvious it wasn't funny. There were St Merge fans on the hill stunned that they'd gotten away with it. The game wasn't short a blatant penalty not given. Jake Friend getting dumped on his head comes to mind.
