As if things couldn't get worse, we're coming up against a team that seems to beat us at will. Remember last year at Brookvale? Manly had been absolute rubbish leading up to that game and then they embarrassed us, I can see the same thing happening again. I know that Robinson reckons he's going to flick some amazing switch that will turn us into the best team in history but we all know it aint going to happen. I'm going to expect the worse against Manly, it's the only way to approach these sort of games, I reckon we all came to the terrible realization on Wednesday that we're just making up the numbers.

I will actually tip us this week on the W/L/W/L trend, and Manly are horrible.
I wouldn't take them lighlty though. -

They are playing worse than a local park team and if we don't put a winning margin of 50+ on them we can forget about a top 4 finish.
But then again I would not be surprised they use us to get back on a winning streak.Comment

Every team that St George has defeated went on to win the week after and we are on our famous W/L/W/L pattern. Of course Manly are in the middle of a crisis which is the worst time to play these pricks.Comment

there are no easy games. it pretty much comes down to who runs harder, tackles harder and holds the ball. we are a work in progress, new half, new fullback, young centres in Manu and Mitchell. young forwards in Butcher and Radley, and some players who may be past their best or are struggling, Friend, JWH, Napa and Cordner fall into that category, so our performances will vary week to week. We just haven't clicked, but the effort the last two weeks has been good, and that's pleasing to see. I honestly don't know if we have the team to go all the way this year, I doubt it but I am an Easts fan, and I know no team is perfect, as long as they try their best and turn up ready to play with all the boxes ticked in their preparation that's all I ask.Comment
