See, one warm Saturday morning in April, Darrell was working away in Scott Street, Willoughby, when the phone rang.

He picked it up, only to hear that famous growl: “How’s Easter going?”

It was Kerry Packer himself, calling all the way from London!

“Terrific, Mr Packer, terrific,” Big Dazza replied quickly, trying to gather himself. “The sun’s shining, the surf’s up, had a great barbie with the kids yesterday, played a bit of frisbee.

Dazza got only as far as this when he was interrupted by a mighty roar, “Not that f---ing Easter, you f---ing idiot! My Easter, my horse Easter, running in the Randwick carnival! Who am I f---ing talking to?”

Darrell took a deep breath, looked left, looked right. It simply had to be done. He didn’t want to do it, but it had to be done.

“Kenny Sutcliffe, Mr Packer, goodbye.” (Click.)
