  • Magic moments...

Magic moments in summary, feel free to add to the list:
    1. Cronks farking kick!!!! We didnt score but I was like WOOOOOW... pretty sure we have some tricks up our sleeve that we are leaving until later in the season. Nobody else in the comp can do that kick and IMO that is a massive warning shot for every defensive line... Cronk can kick horizontally from one side of the field to the other, so his kicks can quite literally go ANYWHERE!!! Try defending us with that in mind when we get a bit of momentum later on.
    2. Radleys farking hit on Jackson!!! That is the kinda stuff I expect from Napa, not a 20 y/o bench utility. He backed it upbwith a heap of other crackers on big forwards and ~60 minutes of play due to Friends HIH injury. Damn good!
    3. Latrells try!!! He did it last week too but that doesnt make it any less amazing. There was seriously ZERO space for him to score and he dashed through the morris brothers + Jackson. HOW? In an otherwise scoreless game, a try like that is what built the platform for our win. Without it, the doggies wouldnt have spent 75 minutes being reminded that we were ahead and would win if they couldnt score. It made them desperate and it was just some random, early try outta nowhere.
    4. Teddy looked confident and pulled off a lot of great catches. One in particular involved him defending the goal line, running across-field, diving and catching the ball on the full to prevent a certain try. A very brave and well executed save there. Forget the who, what, when about it, but one in particular was awesome! More of that please.
    5. Fergo defended well!!! He did, I promise!!! All this time I have been saying he INTENTIONALLY goes off his line when it is a 3-on-2 because if he stays there, they will just pass and score when they get to him. Fergo saved a lot of tries by picking the right moment to come off his wing and smash the attacker. On one occasion he hit Jackson hard (didnt everybody? Maybe Jackson just had a shyte game...)
    6. The siren!!! We kept a team to zero and they didnt even have a disallowed try to biatch about. Sure there are many shoulda, woulda and couldas but put it this way... we got the 2 points!

I can teach any kid that kick its easy .
Teddy really put his body on the line to its fullest ..he must read my shiiite posts.
Fergo will get Dally M prop of the year easy..
Im certain Cronk got a 40/20 in this game was it my eyes or everyone missed it?
Radley is a great kid ..love his work.
The best part was the highlights reel ..all 2 seconds of it
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

Watching teddy at fb last night, I couldn't help but think that if it was latrell or fergo at the back we probably would have conceded at least three try's. His clean-up at the back was superb. But people can't see past the fact he didn't make 5 line breaks and 12 tackle busts. Oh know, he only scored 50 in SuperCoach. Must have had a shocker..

I thought more importantly which is difficult to see on TV is his organising our defensive line. Very Mini-esk like.
Cronk mentioned it in an interview after the game.

I’d like to see Ted lose some of those low percentage attacking plays though. Such as the tip ons and calling for late inside balls when there’s nothing on. Contributed to several turnovers last night.

The inside balls are coached. No doubt the players need to pick their moments. Not sure why matto was throwing the pass either. As for the tip ons, half of those passes were garbage hospital balls and others just missed their mark.

They’re not coached to do it in that situation, in their own half early in the tackle count when you’ve just done a heap of tackling. The frustration of the coaching staff was clear when it happened. And a poor pass is no excuse for the tip ons. Should be cleaning those up not tipping on to no one.

1.I would consider Jakes good service last night a magic moment... Was quite happy with his service until he got injured. Played a simple game and did his job,

                2. RADLEYS HIT ON KLEMMER THAT DIDNT GET CALLED. Put Klemmer on his ass and he is double the size of Radley.. imagine when Radley grows into his man body and puts more muscle on

Yeah they did it all night. Mountain of work just get trying to score every time we had the ball. They were just pushing passes even when latrell was in the bin. I'd have thought cronk would be trying to get them to slow down. As for the tip ons, those poor passes were needing to be caught right at the line. If he goes to catch it and bobbles it into the dogs player it's a knock on. That's my guess why he was doing it. I hate the play though.

The defining moment for mine was seeing those Roosters players lying flat out on the field at full time. That must have been gratifying for the coaching staff - to see a team that had given their all and grafted the win through determination, trust in each other and turning up to do the job, time after time. They had nothing in the tank. It made everyone a proud rooster.

The magic moment of the match for me was Ferguson getting tackled from behind whilst chasing a bomb late in the 2nd half yet no penalty

Well said Louie. Woods had a good game for the Dogs he was due one as JWH usually has it over him in the past. Correct me if I am wrong, Jared seemed to play less than his usual minutes from the bench.

That's the way it seemed to me too. Jared was certainly throwing everything into his minutes. And Woods was leading from the front. It was really a forwards game and the backs had to tackle like forwards too. Radley would have taken a lot out of this one. Is he the new Bunny Reilly, Trevor Gilmeister, Ronnie Gibbs? Plays with a lot of heart and gives away a lot of weight. Loves his defence.

Agree with this, for all the attack the bulldogs threw at us we kept getting up and ready to defend time after time. Lichaa is very dangerous close to the line but our markers were always ready for him and no one was lying on the ground with just one marker. Got to be happy with the effort

Agree with the majic moments listed above.

I like the Latrell/Manu combo. Both had a good game together
